I've played WOT Blitz for about 2 months (iPad mini 2 if that matters) and it is by far one of the best games of its type out there today. It is very fun to the point of being addictive and can be very challenging. The Good First off the graphics are pretty amazing, the developers really put some effort into making the game look good. There are controls that allow the graphics to be adjusted over a very broad range. I run my device in the Medium settings range and it still looks really good. The physics are well done. Shells arc into targets, ricochet, and even have vapor trails. Tanks bounce and slide according to the terrain and respond to recoil from shots fired or received. This makes for some epic and memorable battle scenes occasionally. The maps are deviously thought out and there are many with more introduced periodically. There are dozens of vehicles to choose from and they offer a very broad range of capability that can be selected or equipped according to how you want to play. New vehicles are introduced regularly. The developers are really good with communication. There is an integral news feed that brings information on game updates and developments. They are pretty transparent in regards to bug fixes and game changes which is very refreshing compared to how other developers treat their customers. As far as dealing with customers I have only had one communication with them to this point and they were both helpful and polite. The Bad A common topic among players is about game rigging. I haven't found there to be evidence of this. There is a steep learning curve. Yes, the game will begin to get more difficult as your proficiency increases. As a player gets better they will be matched against better players, otherwise the game would be dreadfully boring after about 15 minutes. And there are some really really good players. I'm sure there are plenty of other games out there that will let you win every time if that's what you need. Yes, a player can choose to buy upgrades and some do, but I don't believe that this means non paying players are nerfed. All upgrade avenues are available if you want to earn them in gameplay. Lag is another common topic among players. I have experienced lag and it is exceedingly frustrating. After some research I have found that it is commonly due to my service provider and not WOT Blitz. If my service provider can't get their junk in order I just have to wait it out. Trash talk is an inherent aspect to this type of game. Most profanity is filtered out but that doesn't necessarily stop a determined jerk. It happens at all levels of the game from the opposing team as well as your own team. Most players are good sports, and the noisy ones who I suspect feel entitled to win every game are the ones responsible for trash talking.

Only the very best of the best players can win credits in this game. Everyone else will lose credits with time. I had a 55% win rate through tier 8 in the game, and I still could not win credits to buy things in game. This makes you spend real money in order to make up the deficit, and it is rigged this way. As a sidenote, check out online about wargaming's rigged (and patented) matchmaking the system. You can tell from the app ratings that the versions are getting worse, and I think this is a big part of it. I've played for over a year, and it's about time to quit.

This game is not only rigged it's broken from lag to credits lost. A big money grab and way way expensive. No matter what you have to pay. Including racist comments to players and downright awful experiences for little kids. I suppose if you like casino odds it might be kinda fun but just for a few games.

The single most loved one of my games. I would expect a game of this quality to be expensive. But free!?!?!? Its amazing. I just wish I could respond to some of the negative reviews because they are wrong, like people with credit problems. You have to same money and if you shells don't penetrant get behind them or get another gun. Premium also doesn't effect anything in game like visibility and damage

I downloaded this game a few weeks after it came out in 2014. I like finding new mobile games but I would usually play one for a couple months and get bored and move on. This however, has been a game that I have been playing for over two years now. This game has held my attention for so long for a few reasons. The game seems to be a simple drive around point your gun at the baddies and fire. What I came to find out is that this game is faaaar deeper and to excel requires a good understanding of game mechanics, tank attributes, and map knowledge. Learning these things, honing my skills and seeing the result in increased wins and damage was very satisfying. But even being good at a game does not mean you will not tire of it. I have had periods of time where I took a break for one reason or another, but one thing that keeps me coming back. The amount of tanks and tank lines is pretty astounding. Even after 17 thousand games I have not researched all the tanks, and they are constantly adding more lines. This newness coupled with the sense of accomplishment when you grind out a tank keeps me playing. No game is perfect and this game certainly has flaws. There are some tanks that are unbalanced, some of the mechanics can be tricky to understand, and the grind all the way to tier 10 requires a metric butt ton XP and credits. I will say though, from exoerience, this is one of the least pay to play games out there. All money does for this game is accelerate your grind, which in my opinion is half the fun of the game. Common complaints about the game are simply due to people that don't understand mechanics or the game itself. The matchmaker is completely random and sometimes you get streaks where you are placed on bad teams. Some say this is due to bias matchmaking, but you don't see them complaining when they have a string of good teams. They simply chalk that up to their own skill for winning. Truth is, the RNG and matchmaker in this game are random and sometimes there are bad streaks. Complaints about disappearing tanks is a misunderstanding of spotting mechanics. Complaints about constant bounces and one shots is usually a misunderstanding of ammo types and what tank is shooting you. And complaints that those running premium accounts are given an edge are laughable at best. I have not spent gold on a single day of premium. Of course they give you a bunch to begin with, if you see how much easier it is to get credits and XP with it, you will be more inclined to buy it when you run out of the free stuff. The fact is, I have ground to tier ten in eight lines and have never once bought premium time. I was able to do so as well with a very respectable win rate and average damage on all my tanks. To summarize, TL;DR is this: This is one of the most engaging free to play games that is not pay to win and will be a fun game to play for a long time. Anyone who wants to play, I would recommend finding the forums. Those that go there for resources on how to do well typically have a leg up on those that don't and you will like the game more as you are more successful. Thanks war gaming.

I agree with Zohan. I am very disappointed that the creators have chosen money over fun. I get the profit part, but when you kill 6 tanks in one battle, even though using HEAT, you end up losing credits. This is unfair to people who are trying to win and move up in tiers. It takes more credits to move up the tier to more powerful Tanks. This needs to be fixed. I killed 6 Tanks with a tier 2 Tank and lost credits. Really? Oh and was awarded a Master Tanker Badge. Pitiful!

Ok to kill time with but nothing good is free. You have to pay to get good ammo. Otherwise you are out quick. Most of the tanks they have never saw battle, if even the light of day. Ballistics are a joke too, but hey, if you want to kill time and like tanks.
