Could Have Been...

This game could’ve been great. Now it’s good. I have a problem when I earn a reward (stars) and then I lose it because of a crazy additional requirement. I’m an adult, so I can get over myself. Until I got to the end of the first leg of my journey. Then I got a message: I had to get ALL the stars before I could unlock any more of my journey. So, we have this added step to get a star — make the worm float by to release it — (after I’ve already made some great words to release it) . But now I can’t play more until I meet impossible requirements. This is bothersome! I love making words, and some tactical manoeuvres are fun. They shouldn’t be impossible! And— there should be a better way to earn Potions and Bombs. Sometimes that’s the only way to get past the gridlock of bushes, letters, and what not. I hope the developers read these reviews. I’m unsure what others feel about this. Maybe I’m the only one who is bothered by this, I don’t know. But it would be so much more fun than seething when the stars go up and are gone.

One of the best

A truly challenging word game. Come back to all the Word Wow games over and over. Can even heighten the difficulty. Amazing.

Addictive

Fast paced when played with the timer and addictive. I eagerly await each new addition and I’m very far from being a teenager.

Doesn’t work

The latest update of Word Wow doesn’t work. It will not open, keeps going off, unable to play.

WORD WOW AROUND THE WORLD

This game works your mind a little but once you figure out how to collect the yellow star words and the gems, it’s a lot of fun. Sometimes it challenging but that’s what gets me excited. Love it.

Word Wow Big City

This game is helping me to build up faster word recognition out of the available letters! Now retired, so look forward to breaks and playing this! Interested in how many people play from all countries! Once. One gets started, it is so difficult to pull away! FUN GAME , FOR SURE???

Not up to quality of the previous Word Wow games :(

Where to start? I loved the first three versions of the Word Wow games and so I was very happy when this one came out. However, after about five days of playing this version, I've decided to delete it from the apps on my iPad. Reasons: -- The game is too easy, even on the "hard" setting. No challenge. -- Run times are too long for the simple challenges we're presented with, so there really is no need to try to beat the clock. Unless you are really slow in making up your mind what word to spell, you will never run out of time. --The animation is very amateurish compared to the other WW games (except for the worm, who is still very cute). This app and several of the ads that play in between games display a crudely drawn hand with pointing finger that have become extremely annoying because of the horrible artwork. I am not a graphic artist but I could have done better using my ancient (circa 1999) animation program. --Still on animation...most of the work seems to have been concentrated on making an airplane fly across the screen when you win a game. Oh wow. --in between EACH game, there is an ad (this is the free version). I own no other game that runs an ad every single time you complete a puzzle or game. And some of the ads aren't even for the Donkeysoft games! Coors beer for example. I can't recall the other "commercials" that popped up, but they really were poorly done, indicative of the quality of this game itself. --I can't even describe how bad the graphics are on the "ads" for their war games. You have to see it yourself to be amazed at how little effort went into producing THOSE games. Oh, and the Panda-With-Ball game. Hideous. It's disappointing that what I used to think was a kind of cool company has sunk to this quality level. --The instructions are sketchy. For example a "hint" will pop up saying that if you use a Star Tile, the Star above it will drop down. But it doesn't say why I should care! What good will it do? Other instructions also leave questions in my mind. --Each game begins with a "hint". However, it appears that there are only about four hints total, so you read the same hint every single time you start a new game. On the plus side: --I can finish any game in this package at any skill level in a couple of minutes, so I can make a quick cup of coffee in my Keurig without having to pause the game. --The music plays during the game, which is kind of cute. I wish that the other Word Wow games (the "good" ones) would do that. --On my search on the App store just before I wrote this review, I discovered several other word games (not by Donkeysoft) that look pretty good! I wouldn't have even been looking if I had been happy with THIS game. So that's a plus. So in closing, I must comment that I used to think this company Donkeysoft had a pretty darn good product. This particular game (and those hokey ones that keep popping up in the ads) has made me rethink that, and I will be VERY CAUTIOUS before I buy another game from this company. So very disappointing.
