Love this game!! Challenges my mind!!

Annoying

Oraggl

This was my go-to game for years.. until recently, an update introduced frequent and intrusive ad campaigning. Ads had existed previously but were manageable, I was able to enjoy the game. Now, every time I blink I’m playing Wack-a-Mole with the ads... you just lost an avid fan. And I agree with the others.. where’s the paid ad-free version? Simple solution to an annoying implementation.

Cool game keeps you sharp and challenges you mind ????????

Not worth it!

I actually loved playing this game but when it interrupts your game for the 5th time to send you to the App Store I finally had enough and uninstalled it. There are better ways to spend my time than getting frustrated at a stupid phone game.

Popup ads make it unplayable

squozebrain

I have played this game for months, loved it until the update that brought incessant popup video ads and App Store redirects during the actual game. This is not a game any more, it's a big middle finger in the eye.

The ads made this unbearable

The ads kept popping up mid-game repeatedly, making playing the game pointless.

My Kind Of Game! The Problem? Invasive Ads

J_bird***

Word Scramble is one of the only app word games that follows the premise of making/finding as many words as you can with just a handful of letters. I like word games where I'm given a word and I have to write as many words I can make from the given word. And this game ranks pretty close. Time is not the sole focus. The words one can make is not limited by only 10 or 20 but usually in the hundreds. The words don't disappear as you make them. And this isn't a competition between other players or like real scramble in which your letter and position options are limited. (My second favorite word game is Hexiled.) So why 3 stars? Like all games, there are pop up adds on Word Scramble. Which I can deal with. However, in the last year and half the ads have been very invasive. How so? The advisements can pop up excessively, are sometimes vulgar/inappropriate, sometimes play alarm sounds, or sometimes play video adds. This is very irritating during a timed game and unexpected when you have turned sound settings for the app off. On average I get 1-2 adds per game while playing. I realize that most apps won't do away with ads completely. However, the invasiveness of the ads in blocking your screen and altering sound settings in the middle of a game is really too much. I introduced this game to two others who stopped using the app because though fun, the ads hindered too much of game. If the creators are unwilling to remove the ads, could a payment feature be added to remove them? Or could the pop up ads occur strictly before and after the game starts.

Pop up ad makes play impossible

ginaarlie

Would be a great game... except, most of the time, pop ups cover the screen sometimes as frequently as every few seconds. Mid-word, I get a pop up, which cuts off my word, making it an error. Have to play the game with my left thumb hovering over where the X pops up to exit the ad. To boot, the ads show nothing! Pointless. Frustrating. I’m on a new iPhone with software and the app up-to-date. This is unusable.

I love playing this game on BLITZ mode. However—please fix the stats section because only the first two digits show for the PLATINUM CUP. Once you reach 100 platinum cups, you’re kinda screwed reading the numbers because they’re cut off. Please fix this.

Game is fun, not worth the fake virus ads

diveramy

The game itself is very enjoyable and well put together. The ads were okay until one randomly popped up at an unexpected time telling me there was a virus on my phone. Not clicking that link. Uninstalled the app. Not worth keeping the game having to deal with ads popping up at unexpected times with questionable content.
