The app uses the Dolch word list (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolch_word_list), which contains common words found in children's books. Shorter words, like "me", "no", and "it" are sorted to the top of the list. Kids love to create, so maybe they can get some reading practice while making silly phrases.
Here are some ideas of how to use the app:
• Tap to listen to commonly used words
• Form phrases and hear it read back to you
• Save names or phrases, and they appear at the top of the word board
The computer voice that sounds out words is off... My name Julie is said sounding like "Chilly." Definitely a problem when trying to learn the correct way to read and pronounce words. The words are also small so when my daughter would click on a word to read she'd hit other words on accident.
