・本作品は、2005年に発売されたWindows版の移植作品のLite版となります
・3GSでも動作いたしますが、解像度の関係で漢字が読みにくくなります。ピンチアウトすることで部分拡大することはできますが、スムーズなゲーム進行は望めません。
・Bluetoothキーボードに対応してます。キーボードで操作する場合は、アプリ起動前に接続及びペアリングを行ってください。また、漢字モードはオフにしてください。（iOS7以上は非対応）
■物語
王の近衛兵であり、有名なハルシュタインは傭兵や、幼き子供を集め、軍事指導を行なっている。
しかし、我が国の土地から多くの鉱物資源が発見されたことにより、多くの国が、この土地を侵略しようと 虎視眈々と狙っている事は一目瞭然であった。
至急、数多くの冒険者を一人前に仕上げ、近衛兵になるような、屈強の者を作り出さねばならない。
そして、多くの冒険者は王からの報償を求め新参の若者達が酒場に集い次の試練を待ち望んでいる。

Looks like the classic Wizardry the only problem is I can't read Japanese characters so I have no idea what is going on. Need to get an English version before I would consider purchasing the game. Hope they do a Werdna redux! LM T Brahe

Even though the app information says the language is English it is all in Japanese. I was excited when I first saw this on the app store and thought maybe that since the language was listed as English maybe the game would be even though screenshots were all in Japanese. Either need to change the the language to Japanese or translate the game to English. If it's gets into English I'm a guaranteed sale.

Silly people who don't know Wizardry as well as they should: click A on options, select the option to the right on lines 1-6, go to the bottom line, click A on the option to the LEFT and, voila! Instant English. Enjoy the badassery that is Wizardry.
Changing language to English

Took a while to figure out, but here's how: 1. Start app 2. Touch down arrow on left controller to highlight 'option' 3. Touch 'a' 4. Touch right arrow twice 5. Touch down arrow once 6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 five more times (making the first six options highlighting the right-hand column) 7. Touch the down arrow 11 times 8. Touch 'a' to save your selections This should do it. No comment on the app since I haven't played it yet. Just happy to have figured out how to change the language.
Good potential but falls short

At first from screen shots and having English listed as a language I was excited. However once It was downloaded I found it useless. Being as 1) I do not read Japanese 2) There is no way to know how to change the language to English. Review 4 and 5 say there is English- bull ***t. They must know how to read Japanese. My one star rating is generous. Right after this I'm deleting it. Down the road if the developer includes a way for us non-Japanese to change the language to English I'll download it and give it five stars. Also ITunes has messed up by listing English but not providing a way to know how to change to English. Changing my rating to four stars. Here's why not five stars. After reading review # 7 & # 8 I was able to change the language to English which enabled me to play- hence upping the rating. However- 1) had I not read review # 7 & # 8 I would not have known how to change to English 2) There is still a lot of Japanese in the game. Therefore not five stars. For this statement I may get dubbed an " American snob". So be it. iPad is made and produced in America. Being as the program is being sold in America and the iTunes product description has English listed as the language it should be all English with Japanese as an option. It will not get five stars from me until that is fixed.

First - if you cannot figure out how to switch the first 6 options from 1 of the 2 choices to the other in order to get English then I promise you that you are missing enough IQ points that you should go back to Hello Kitty Island Adventure. Second - this is a great re-imagining of the original Wizardry. The touch screen interface made rolling up characters (getting it to give that 30+ bonus) a breeze as well as making navigating the dungeons fun and simple. I would gladly pay for a fully English version of this game (combat dialogue, info in the dungeon, etc.). I am grateful that the developer made a product good enough to make me want to learn a new language to enjoy it to its fullest. Bottom line - if you are old enough to have fond memories of the original game then you can get through this game, otherwise some challenges exist due to the language barrier.

Thanks to the previous reviewers for providing instructions to change the language to English. I haven't played yet but was able to change the language. The menus look promising and i cant wait to play. I used to play the Wizardry games all the time, back in the 80's...used to lug around a Compaq which was one of the first "portable" machines but was the size of a large briefcase. Yo Devs, when will the premium version be available? Any plans to port the other Wizardy titles?

Just downloaded the game and it does let you change the language to English in the Options page at the starting screen. BUT the catch is you need to know Japanese (or Chinese characters, since they are similar) to know which options to toggle. So the implementation is non-intuitive. To change to English: - At intro screen, highlight the Options menu (use the big Plus icon to move) and press Button A. - You will see a screen of Japanese characters. There are 3 columns: left column is the Option names, middle/right columns are possible values. - The first 6 rows are: Monster Name, Item Name, Command, Spell, Status and Trap Name. The default is Japanese (middle column highlighted). Change these 6 options to the right column for English. - To save, you need to go all the way down to the last row where there are only the middle and right columns (left column will be blank). Highlight the middle column (it means Confirm or OK) and press Button A to save and go back to intro screen. Now, return back to the Options screen and everything will be revealed in English. Ok, I will now go and play the game and post another review later. Have fun, Wizardry lovers! ------------------------------ Just created my 6 characters: 3 Samurai, 1 Thief and 2 Bishops. Took me a while to roll the 3 Samurais but the game seems to mimick Wizardry: if you are patient enough, high scores will come. So far, so good.
