Love this App

Lexey2454

This app is amazing I’ve been using this app for a year and it is a really great way to be able to connect with people who have psychological issues such as anxiety, PTSD, etc.. I started using this app when i was in a really dark place and it provided much needed comfort. I joined several different chats in this app some for anxiety some for depression and reading other peoples stories and seeing how they weren’t ostracized or made to feel like a weirdo, made me feel safe. I started posting things that i had been going through and how i felt and people responded kindly with words of encouragement, tips on how to overcome my situations, and by offering a shoulder to lean on. This app created a community for people who suffer from any number of psychological issues to be able to connect with similar people.

Great app!

I’ve had this app for a few days now. It’s a great app. You are able to help others and also get support for yourself. I already love it!

Everything is lock for paying only.

You get messages and can’t event respond back. Extremely limited app.

Don’t even bother

I used to love Wisdo. I thought it was a great place to connect with people who struggled in life, just as I did. I was desperate for comfort, as I was extremely depressed at the time. Once they did some snooping and found out I was 15 (turning 16) at the time, they removed me and told me I was no longer welcome to use their services. I thought about the app today, and decided to give it another go since they couldn’t kick me off this time. I signed back up and started going through all the beginning things, but was then met with a message, prompting me to pay for the services. I’m not paying to talk to other people, who are not getting paid themselves. So please, save yourself the time and energy and just avoid this app

Wow

✗O ❤

You have to pay to use everything like its really crazy.

Good if you have money.

I saw Wisdo on an Instagram ad and I was really looking forward to using this app. It was great.... until I could do nothing. You need a subscription for everything and for someone who doesn’t have money like that to spend, it just disappoints you. It’s good if you have money.

They just want your money!

Getting help by speaking to others who have had the same problems your facing is a great concept & really gave me hope, until I opened the app & they wanted a CREDIT CARD TO CHARGE FOR THAT HELP!!!! Unbelievable!! So someone is a depressed addict feeling suicidal & you want a credit card before they can speak to others!! That’s CRIMINAL!!!

Mark it as a paid app.

After you take the time to find groups and answer the little startup quiz, they suddenly tell you you have to pay. Just make people pay upfront you dicks.

Not supporting this

I used to be a Wisdo member only to comeback to them completely changing it! You used to not have to pay to be a part of a community that went through or is going through the same situation as you. It was a peaceful place where a person can just pull there guts and people would be supporting you and help guide you in the right direction. Now that I came back ~ I see that suddenly you need to paaaay just to talk about what you’re going through? Just to help others? That’s a scummy way to get money. There’s people with mental illnesses out there. That probably doesn’t have anyone to talk to in there life - for many reasons and you’re like.... pay for it???

There is no community here

I have never written a review for an app before but my experience with this one was so bad I have to let people know. I thought this was a community where I could meet like minded people going through the loss of a parent. So I tried a couple options in this app with little to no success. First, I reached out in the ‘coping with loss’ group chat room and never got a response. Just people using self pity to get attention. It seemed the more obnoxious one was the more attention one got. Not my style. Then I was paired with 3 helpers. The first helper told me she was ‘awful’ after I asked her how she was doing. Super negative and unhelpful. The second one only liked to talk about her own issues which again was very unhelpful. And the third never responded. I ended up reaching out to a supervisor to ask how to deal with the helpers and their lack of empathy. Her response? ‘I am sorry you are dealing with this. Can you connect with a new helper’. Okaaaaaaaay. I am dealing with a past loss and this was very unsettling to me. However I can only imagine how traumatizing that would be to someone who dealing with the pain of a more recent loss in their life. Lastly, after a week of being on the app, I was solicited to become a ‘helper’. I guess it doesn’t take much beyond being a regular user to ‘help’ people on this app. Even though I didn’t feel I was well suited to that position yet, I could see why the other helpers acted the way they did. Very disappointed in this app. Great idea, poorly executed with no standard set for community. People are supposed to relate to heal. I did not find that here.
