good information in the app, however doesnt function like it should. hit nearest gas station and it told me to drive 20 hours to michigan when im located in Colorado..

The 'Be Ready, Be Safe' and 'Resources' tabs are empty. When I used 'Find Nearest Gas Station' it directed me to Flint, Michigan - I was outside Minneapolis, MN

Chock full of helpful info and reminders

Simple, clean, and loaded with helpful info for severe winter conditions, both traveling and at home. I run through the checklists and prepare before driving off into the winter wonderland. If one gets stranded in a car, it can calculate how long one can idle to stay warm. Kuddos to NDSU extension service for gathering all this info. and making it accessible!

I heard about this app on MSNBC today while watching the blizzard updates. I downloaded this as my husband will be driving from Ohio to Oklahoma in a few days. I checked out the features to see how it worked. But now it thinks I'm stranded. I keep getting alerts that j need to shut off my car. I don't see how I tell the app that I'm no longer stranded. Can you help? Thanks.

After set up, the app locks up. Great idea, wouldn't help in an emergency.

This application is about as basic as you can get with a bare bones template that provides information you should know when stranded in the winter. The information provided whether to help yourself or others when stuck in a vehicle is on point. The additional GPS coordinates to provide location awareness is a plus but there are questions of whether it works correctly so users might not want to rely solely on this application. Still, the app if nothing else serves a a handy guide.
