A cute little dating sim that is both long and short.

Hope This is Helpful

I’ll just lay it out there, I really enjoyed this game. Then again, the only times I review something is if I enjoyed it or if their are glaring flaws haha. But I liked this one. I’m not a huge fan of dating sims, to be honest. When it comes to these visual novel type things, I prefer a linear kinetic novel or one’s with choices…but nothing so open as a dating sim. Still, this game did charm me. [Absolutely no spoilers] Just for context, I am writing this review after completing one ending out of the 5 possible. “Winter in Fairbrook: Flower Shop” is the sequel to “Flower Shope: Summer in Fairbrook”. It’s actually, a really short game. Once you get passed the orientation/prologue, you have only a few weeks to accomplish what you want to accomplish. For me, I finished one path in about 5 days playing casually. What makes it “long” is trying out for each of the endings. There are also no issues with content for younger players. So, it is a safe title. Characters and plot: I was actually quite entertained by the characters and their outlooks. I found everyone to be rather charming. They were what gave life to the plot. As to the plot, there really isn’t much to it. No major traumas or anything of the sort outside of discovering the characters’ backstories and such. It really is just a true glance at someone’s life. The artwork is also nice and really adds to it. Farming: It’s more of a flowerbed since you are working in a flower shop. It wasn’t terrible at all…but it just didn’t seem to be a huge central aspect of the game. From my perspective, I was thinking “why am I working on this flowerbed when I can go out and visit folks and get to know the townspeople?” But, from what I hear, the amount of money you make can affect the ending. So there is that. The only things I didn’t like: In general, these are just minor nitpicks. 1. But one thing I wish was a little more variety when visiting people (aka the eligible bachelors). It seemed that when you are locked on to someone, the other guys take a back seat and have a repeating generic scene with you if you choose to visit them on occasion. 2. The platform is stable…I haven’t had any real issues with it on my device, but the response when tapping the buttons can be improved a little just so it “feels” smoother. All in all, I really enjoyed this visual novel. It was quite charming and uplifting especially because I could relate to many of the characters. It will be one of the few I’m willing to work out all characters for. Would I have liked the price to be cheaper? Of course, but I also think the price they are offering is more than fair ($6.99). Most of the the visual novels I’ve encountered tend to be $10 to even $30 bucks when purchasing desktop editions (even some of the full iOS vns are $19 to $28). So being able to get the full game for a portable device and at this price is a real steal.

This costs money?!

Luciethegirl

I didn't notice that the game cost money or see the reviews and rating till I downloaded it. Can I even get my money back?

Not worth it.

I played this and the the prequel with main character Steve. The main characters of these games are awful, selfish, and inconsiderate people. Obviously no one is perfect but these people are so repulsive! The character art for the main characters are just awful, unfortunately they really bring down the otherwise beautiful character design. The price is too expensive for this particular storyline. I would pay $3 for this not $7.

Ok

This game is really cute and all, and I was really looking forward to seeing how the story progressed but...$6.99 for this game??? I had no idea you had to pay, especially that much....

The new update has bugs

Nvswift

Despite this being recently update I still have the same problems as the last one. With this new update the words are blurry to the point I can barely read them also the screen only goes vertical instead of horizontal way I preferred. Please fix this so I can enjoy my game.

Not allowing me to restore purchases but still a good Otome.

I normally do not write reviews for something like this but I have no idea how else to solve the problem. I played this game around a year ago on my old IPad and now that I have a repaired one, I wanted go back and replay it since I remembered how much fun I had. I went to download it again(the app has the old icon) and it wouldn't let me, then I saw this and just figured that the game was updated. However, when I went to “restore my previous purchase” it would not work. Any other button I press on the main menu works aside from the “restore purchases” button. I normally would not let it bug me but I really enjoyed this game. I’m guessing it has to do with the bug that other people on here are mentioning? I hope it gets fixed soon!

Boo

It won’t let me restore my previous purchase and that is quite upsetting.
