Support and installation need improvement

ghitis

After spending over 2 hours trying to install the module with the iPhone 6, I called for support. Have to hold on line for 20 minutes until you get the option to get a call back because they never answer and the waited 2 to 3 hours to get a call back. Then it took me 30 to 45 minutes to install the app, because the app does not support iOS 10. Eventually I was able to install in an old iPad and then finally worked. The app seem very friendly and easy to use. They should have a YouTube video to facilitate the whole process.

Very very good!!!

This has to be one of the best apps for remote control of an AC unit away from home. Superior compared to other apps that I use on my smart device. It's reliability is great. The programming is somewhat involved, however once it's installed the functionality is user friendly. I think that everyone should have one. Thanks!

Works great!

Works as advertised and is stable.

Singular app

Resjudicata7

Does one thing and does it really well, controls your thermostat. Reliable, no hidden charges and easy to use. Great app and thermostat.

Very Important App

It works great! You can make changes while away from home. Especially when you are out of town. I came across my heater not on for some reason during a very cold winter earlier in 2014. My heater somehow shut down and my home temp was getting dangerously low. I was able to raise the temp to where it should've been. Thank God for this app or my water pipes might've burst.

Works.

Please add weather conditions and Apple Watch support. That would get five stars.

Newest Version is AWFUL!

Worked great for years, now they updated the app to try and think for me. I know what I want my settings to be. I live in Florida, I don't need heat, but the app forces me to enter heat settings. Then it changes my AC to very uncomfortable levels. Pure garbage! If it ain't broken, don't fix it! I'm switching to a Schneider Electric thermostat this weekend. I've had it with companies that think they know more than I do when it comes to my comfort.

Great Stat & Great App

Ivebeenscrewed

I've had the 3M version of this thermostat (CT50) for the past 3 or 4 years. Generally I've been very happy with the stat functionality and the App features & functionality. PROS: Easy to install/wire, decent stat features, easy to use and program, very functional App and online connection to stat which allow easy access to & remote mirroring of all stat features and functionally, App has been routinely updated with new features and refinements over the years, stat has been updated with new firmware periodically. CONS: Wifi setup a bit cumbersome, every "blue moon" (during network outages/power failures) stat loses network settings and does not reacquire connection, development of product line from this company seems to be at a dead end (as of Nov 2016) with CT50 & CT80 being the only available model for past past few years. No connection to home automation. Set up on my wifi network was a little bit of a pain. The initial wifi set up worked OK but not effortless. However, every so often it loses its connection to my wifi network (FIOS) and does automatically reacquire the connection. The problem is that it doesn't remember the wifi settings-- so you have to reconnect it from scratch using the setup wizards. This wouldn't be too bad if it's default subnet was the same as the wifi access point-- but it's not. I've tried setting up the stat with a static address which matches to a reserved address in my wifi router. But this didn't work to solve the problem.

Good app

Overall a good app and thermostat. No hidden charges on the app. App is simple to navigate and look at history. Away mode works well to deviate from the schedule. You can also turn this feature off if needed and just run off the schedule or change the settings remotely as you want. Also can access app and stat from computer. Which is best to setup the schedule from there. Thermostat has been great for the price. 2 stage works well. Once in a while (power outage, etc) it looses connectivity and you have to be physically present to reset up the stat. Overall great app and stat.

Crashes constantly

Says "server error". Real descriptive and helpful. (Sarcasm)
