Love the app, use it for work and sleep. But “market” app got stuck in some spammy 1st person shooter game w no way to back out. Found no contact support on site (site not active). Had to delete and get app again.

This the worst app ever. Total garbage. If you want to smash your phone over simple frustrations over and over again download it.

I’m a paying customer and sound contributer, plus I actually signed into the market just now. That’s basically vip status for white noise, yet, I just got the most intrusive/malicious ad I’ve ever seen since coming to iOS a year ago (worse than anything I’ve ever seen on android for that matter). It was a black jack card playing app, it pops up, there’s 3 buttons, 2 say ‘play’ and 1 says ‘clear’. There’s no ‘x’ anywhere, not even a sneaky dark grey one on a black background. And no normal timer either, just an ‘in game, timer of like 5min. So yea, absolutely no way to click out or get rid of it, not even by waiting 30 seconds like the other breed of horribly intrusive ads. Even then I shouldn’t have even those sorts of ads if I payed money for the app, I won’t lie I thought that’s what the money was for. I still don’t have all the high end prebuilt sounds/features, no that’s for the ‘pro’ version. The trick is splitting the app into many parts and charging money for almost every piece. The white noise ‘market’ no one is even able to pay for even if they wanted to. So someone paying the top dollar ‘pro’ price still has to watch the very intrusive ads. Great app though, but after this ad I’m starting to seriously question the marketing strategies. Obviously it’s great for the dev, and that’s good, I just hope their not getting too greed/sold the app to China. Maybe they didn't review the ad, which is not a good practice IF that's the case, I'm hoping it was a mistake to let that type of ad through though. I just can't imagine tmsoft making those types of malicious, app crashing ads the new normal. So that’s where I’m at. I had to kill and clear the app from my cache just to escape the ad. We need to get rid of this blackjack/21 malvertising, otherwise I'll be clearing from cache and uninstalling the whole white noise market. I'll give you guys some time to look into this ad, white noise is a great app that I've contributed to, but if I'm gonna be trapped inside an ad everytime, I'll have to rerhink my sleep strategy. Also I do agree with others, I don't like the new market layout, there are thousands of sounds and now we can only see 1 at a time, where as before it was tiled and we could see and read about several at once. Please bring back tile view, make it optional if you want, but we want to see the picture and title of many sounds at once. Update: Thanks for the response that's awesome. I'd like to believe you would have responded even if my original review title wasn't as colorful as 'malvertising' but i wanted you guys to see it and pull the ad asap if it was a mistake, and if it would have been intentional, well the ad itself fits the description. I described the ad in detail in the hopes you can find it and pull it. Its interesting how much 1 rogue ad can change ones viewpoint on a developer. First I was like 'yea love white noise, it's community oriented, yada yada'.. Then I get an ad I cant escape, and I'm like 'man they take free sounds from the community, and make the community buy the app to use the sounds they uploaded, and then have the nerve to pull this adware crap'... lol.. Maybe a lesson in here about the importance of not letting rogue ads through. But yea I get you have to pay for the infrastructure, platform, bandwidth, it's a great value for the customers actually, we get a lot with the low price we pay, even if some of it comes from us. White noise market also provides the means to discover new sounds too, so again its a great symbiotic relationship, it seems, between tmsoft and the community. Thanks for your thoughtful reply, hope to get tile view back one day. Please vet ads better if that's possible. White noise is still the best sleep app. By far. ?️?

Whoa it's all about sounds and fun conversation. Unlike facebook and twitter which is toxic. Thanks!

I love that you can download more sounds. The sound of catydids in late summer has always been soothing/comforting to me and I found the perfect one to download. Thanks

Put on headphones or earbuds... Turn on a soothing noise and make the world disappear for a while. Great for loud hotels.
