Good app but watch out for background battery drain

I like this app a lot. It's perfect for me little one. However, was apprised to see 60% of my battery gone on my phone in the morning when though this was not playing. Apparently this app still runs in the background even if it's not playing audio (as verified by my battery app), so always plug it in when it's open and make sure to close it when done.

I can’t believe they updated this app so that it can’t run without the screen on. You already had to stay in the app to hear the sound, but now the screen has to stay on as well. It uses twice as much battery and there’s no reason for me to have my screen on all night (as I usually play it all night to help me sleep). I love the sounds and was so happy that I could pick one to play while I slept.

I use this app all the time when I travel so I don’t have to bring a noise machine. It’s a amazing and useful app!

I am such a restless sleeper and WhiteNoise helped so much. I recommend the Brown Noise. Great for blocking out noise. A good way to provoke monotonous sleep!

I was trying to give this app four stars but the “send” kicked in too soon. I used to travel with a Marsan (I don’t have the brand name quite right) white noise machine because it makes such a difference to my sleep. It’s what I use at home. But it takes up a lot of room in a suitcase so I was very happy to discover this app on my phone. I like the brown noise setting because it’s a steady sound — no rising and falling. I’d urge people who think a background noise will seem intrusive to try this app. You get used to it very quickly and it can mask noise in a hotel hallway, for example, and give you more uninterrupted sleep.
