Get the app, hook up a cheap Bluetooth speaker, and it's better than any noise machine you can get. The shush sounds are particularly awesome.

Paid 2.99 to unlock everything and it was worth every penny. 1) Great selection of sounds 2) You can layer them on top of each other so you could have something like rain AND a crackling fire at the same time. Also comes with the standard features for a noise app like sleep timer, ability to play in the background when you switch to another app. I've tried a lot of sleep noise apps over the years and this one is the best I've seen so far.

Love this app. My son stops crying when I turn the vacuum cleaner sound. Also love the timer. It will gradually reduce the volume when time is up. Truly a life saver!

I've been using this in combination with a music playlist every time I rock my colicky baby to sleep, and now my baby associates the combo with sleep and konks right out. I absolutely love that it still plays while music is playing. Great customization options. It's not too grating for me, either, even listening to it twelve hours a day, haha. I would absolutely recommend this to new parents!! EDIT: my sound combo is rain, light rain, umbrella, wind, deep water, ocean, fireplace, lightning, car ride, leaves, and the seaside preset. Then I play it alongside my 'pirate' playlist and rock in time with the beat. I fiddled with the volume control to perfect it. Seriously worth the upgrade!

I bought a sound machine from Amazon and it sounded like crap. I love my Bluetooth speaker so hey, why don’t I just use that! Returned the machine and downloaded this app, BEST DECISION! We would die without sound machine. My daughter wouldn’t stop screaming every time any one would make a sound in the house. This thing brings peace in my house again. Love it. The animation part is not that great tho, but just the sound is enough for us.
