Poor Color Choice, Overall Great App

ACMinton

I LIVE THROUGH THIS APP! I use it for my bullet journal, my packing list, our budget, and so much more! I love the app so much! My ONLY complaint is one that has developed over time and it is the lack of color choice. There are like 5 shades of black, 3/4 of the same ish shade of blue, and like 4 cream ish colors. There is no yellow or purple and just overall the colors are all drab and the same. It does not seem too hard to have an update that improves the color options for the user!

It’s Okay. Some features I love. Missing some I can’t live without

First off, I love the sleek design of this app and the icon itself is gorgeous. I also LOVE that you can make all the menus basically invisible. This is sooo very nice. Also the “ink” is awesome in this app. Those features make it really hard to say no to, but it’s missing some crucial things for me. First of all, the organization/file tree needs some work. I don’t like that I can’t have a cover for my group. I don’t like that there is not list view. The covers themselves are a little lack luster with no way to add a personalized one. Also, the fact that you can’t edit a cover once you create a note is a travesty. The lines are too big as I prefer smaller writing. I have the same problem with the microscope It also annoys me that whenever I enter a document it defaults to pen so I inevitably mark something on accident. It should default to view only as this is usually the first thing you do upon opening a note. I feel like the design lent itself more to a page-turn design to I was a little disappointed by the infinite scroll. That’s just nit picky though. I hope that these things are fixed in the future as I’d love to be using this app.

So close yet so far.

Pros: Smooth writing experience Notebook layout Cons: No specific Apple Pencil settings (double tap, pressure sensitivity, etc.) Only three pen sizes (TINY, perfect, BLOB) Only specific color palettes, no custom colors And one REALLY annoying thing is: every time you tap undo it jumps straight to the TOP OF THE NOTEBOOK. Believe me, when you have a notebook that’s 50 pages long, you don’t wanna be doing that multiple times while taking notes. ?? This is coming from someone who used the app for 5 months to give it a shot. If the app had these features and also fixed undo hit box, I would be a happy camper. Noteshelf it is for me until these are fixed!

To update to latest version have to go to iOS 13 train wreck

Exjoey

Sorry, but I’m not prepared to “upgrade” to the bug ridden iOS 13.x so I can update this game

Good

Writes well, but wish there was a way to turn pages horizontally instead of only able to scroll vertically

This app is a charm !

Works amazingly with Apple Pencil. Graphically very aesthetic interface. Easy to use. Most importantly it’s free. Great tool for any student. 10/10 !

So easy and fun to use!

This note taking app works very easily, clearly, understandably and is a lot of fun to use. Used as a journal for daily recording or note taking this application does it all!

Half baked

everette23

It’s a half baked app with little control over organization or style options. And everything feels HUGE. I write pretty small so Notability’s smaller grid options were a better fit for me. Now I compare pretty much every note taking app to notability.

Almost perfect.

Drop box not connecting. Would like additional pen sizes, the option to turn off pressure sensitivity, the option to not include the cover page or at least edit its format, support for additional backup services (such as google drive or one drive), the ability to move location of tool bar, the ability to add header and footers to documents, and the ability to create sub-folders.

Exceeded my expectations
