Ever been curious about what are the beautiful fonts used on a web page? WhatFont can find out the font family, the font weight, and more info for you. It even knows which font is actually being used instead of just showing you the stylesheet's value.
WhatFont simplifies this inspection into a 2-step process: select the text, and activate WhatFont.
With the Safari extension support in iOS 8, WhatFont's widely loved experience is finally made possible for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users.
Enjoy.
Have been using browser version for a long time. I know it will be an awesome app. Great start, you can do it bro! ps: You need a “close” button to quit the tutorial screens ;)
Awesome developer. Also the guy behind this did the quick update script for LinkedIn email unsubscribe settings.
This is a good extension. Would love it even more if it would also support Chrome.
Was going for the long shot, in the hopes that maybe something similar to this, but much simpler would be available. I guess I got lucky! This does everything! And it's especially helpful for when you need to crop text and edit things but cannot figure out the original font used. For example, one of my friends writes beautiful poetry, and I wanted to save it because reading it made me happy, and I wanted others to see his works as well. He had uploaded his poetry to his poetry page, which does not allow you to save-the only other option being to copy and paste, and I didn't want it to look cheap. So my only option left was to take a screen shot, crop the photos and use a scan app to give it an original text appearance. In doing so, I accidentally got rid of the title, as well as his name :( Thankfully, using this app I was able to restore it to its former glory! And for those who may believe this is an elaborate explanation for someone that wants to plagiarize, don't kid yourselves. One of my two majors is English, and I loathe the very thought of taking credit for something that isn't your own. I'd hate to be the person that tries to steal my creations. ANYWAYS. AMAZING app and job well done to the developer!
Very cool app for typography enthusiasts, but has stopped working in iOS 9.3.1 ?.
Indispensable. This extension has saved me hours trying to identify typefaces.
