My new favorite app

Chris Gernon

This app does everything it says. Finally an app where I can stream music to all my airport extremes! Follow the directions .. very important! I wish this had the ability to play Spotify :( but I'm happy for now !

Terrible performance.

App has its glitches. Volume controls don't always work and I have to reset my network or restart my speakers at times. I've added an AirPort Extreme and 2 Airport Expresses to help spread the signal more consistently through my house but it's not anymore stable then with the router my cable company provided.

1 cheap app for all versus 1 single expensive system

Player 1 of many

First I speak from an "IOS" platform. Great app and fulfills the desire to create the home entertainment system I've been needing for some time. Owning multiple wi-fi enabled speakers...but hated the fact I was limited to playing only one speaker at a time and having to switch speakers upon transversing from room to room in the house. Looking at buying a single audio system (~Sonos) and/or a 4 channel system that can only play one song at a time in multiple rooms was overly expensive, more than I need based on what I already owned, and still limited my options on the freedom from playing the genre of music in the configuration(s) best suitable for the associated party atmosphere. This app does it all...as seen in the tutorial video...I now have the power at my fingertips to manage the home entertainment audio system and configure the music to the flow of my guest...additionally I love the wide variety of the internet radio stations (radiofreetexas.com, Ranch Radio, and multiple genres it provides across multiple different countries). Take the advice on creating an additional wi-fi access point in the house...being I have one wi-fi LAN for the speakers, one for personal household (TVs, computer, Home security) use, and another for guest...thus minimizing data overload through a single source or all trying to compete on the same wi-if band...eliminating breaks in the music play or slowing down performance among all components and guests. My appreciation goes out to the software engineers and the innovative thinking behind this app...a job very well done.

Best App ever!!!

Good thinking!! The stereo controls are perfect. Perhaps in the future more channels and controls of equalizer!!

NO ITUNES Music can be played. Only uploaded CD's

Finally! Easiest and best solution for multi airplay speakers

Mameyboo

All I wanted was to play the same source from my iPhone or iPad to my marantz avr with airplay and whole house speakers powered by a different amp that uses an airplay dongle. This app allows this! No issues with audio sync if you have solid wifi. I have the Orbi so plenty of bandwidth. Only downside is that the music has to be on your device. I was streaming podcasts before, now I just download them. Thank you Whaale!!! I am a big fan now and will spread my joy... and no, I wasn't paid to say any of this!

Be careful using it with 11.2

moweather

Tried using this with 11.2 after update - it messed up selecting AirPlay devices to the point that I had to restart the device.

Almost!

Have the app and spent additional $$ upgraded number speakers. But will not play DRM protected content (that you have already paid for). Partly Apple’s fault for being such grinches but this app should be able to ‘piggyback’ off Apple Music itself no?

Excellent with my multiple HomePods

BeckInt

I recently bought 6 HomePod for my house. I am very happy that this app works magnificent with all my HomePod. I can stream my music to all of the them simultaneously. Great app!! (Since Apple has not released AirPlay 2)

Works great! Awesome app

It has a little bit of a learning curve. And it is not initially intuitive. But it is worth taking the time to learn.
