Prepare to pay

Huibspht

First, the good. The game is visually beautiful. Now, the bad. The game is designed to vacuum $$’s from your bank account. After paying, I mean “playing” for over a year, and working my way to “Tour Master” I’d hate to look back at how much money I’ve spent. It nickels and dimes you, so it seems less painful over time. What’s most distressing, after spending all the money and getting pretty good, is the realization of how badly this game CHEATS. Yes, you’ve read that correctly. If you enjoy a visually beautiful game, and don’t mind spending the money, this is your game. But if you want a fair, equitable contest, with your skills against your opponents, then look elsewhere. I’ve tracked thousands of games in a row, (yes, I wrote it all down for months) and got to the point that I could pick who would win the contest BEFORE a single shot was hit. And once you start purchasing balls, (which you need to do in order to compete successfully), you’ll suddenly find water where you’ve never seen it before! Lose a ball in the water, you’ll have to open that wallet of yours again. And again, And again. The game simply picks the winners and losers based on some cruel algorithm, and not the skills of the individual players. (and if the game developers disagree, I have months of copious notes to prove it) Save your life, and money, and download a different application, or go out and play the real game.

Not another dime

Suuuuckerrrdddd

Being able to see theses amazing courses, great. Graphics and other stuff, awesome. Having something golf related to do during pandemic, cool. Almost every golfer I chatted with on the game-fantastic people. Inconsistent game. Wind and green speeds bs. Blow a downhill putt by 10 ft and you are still downhill-BS. I know that some people have ways to cheat. This game could be great, but I don’t get worse at a game the more I play it. Sorry-you will not get another dime from me. Just wanted you to know what you are in for,, although I doubt this review will be able to be read.

Beautiful game

Gjd13

The array of choices of courses to play is fantastic and they are rendered in great detail. The game is a lot of fun for me because all I really want to do is have the “experience” of playing these courses. I don’t know if I’d have the same reaction if I were taking it seriously and trying to be competitive.

WGT spend spend spend if you want results

I play but having to spend money every time is ridiculous. I enjoy the game but I don’t buy new clubs just to play better . If you practice , you get no reward unless you spend . I wish we could buy a good golf app for a single fee and not have to pay every time .I enjoyed Tiger Woods golf you bought it once and never had to pay again.

Inconsistency and lack of basic game rules especially advancement

Joel2704

Good game, but I gave three stars because of the inconsistency that exists in AI and lack of basic game rules especially relating to advancement. On AI, the System can deliberately determine a winner against you, this does make the game frustrating and over time, one is tempted to quit. Secondly, I do accept that, one of your merchandise is the replacement balls, but you don’t need to help lose the balls of a careful player by altering the direction of the ball into water or purposely speeding up a slow meter to fast occasionally to achieve that. On basic rules, it takes nothing away from this game if people have a fair knowledge about what they are striving for. I have been playing and not knowing when I need to be in the next level. The last time I have to send a mail before I was promoted. That is needless! You have more than enough to keep your loyal players instead of being less transparent. This can make people see the insincerity in the game and move on. Remember people are spending hard earned USD$ to play. The least you can do to encourage them is to be transparent. Anywhere, I am almost on my way out. Finally, I am yet to know what you can use your coins for. It will be nice to explain this apart from using it as upgrade of your skills.

Money grab

lgcarmona

Great graphics but not consistent results for same shots and can only compete if you spend big dollars.

High quality. Graphics on point. Rich with features

Puravida5

Best golf game out there. Course selection is great. Photo-realistic. True to the sport of golf. Club and ball performance realistic. Putting green view is great. I only wish the Ads were golf related, I’d click them.

Golf Club!

Great graphics. Nice game. One thing I haven’t been able to do is adjust my putting line. The elevation colors are difficult to see the line. If I am close to the hole I usually take a gimme. I would rather putt the ball if there was a way to see the line.

Realisitc, yet limited for those looking to play for free

insightful review for wgt golf

This is the most realistic golf game I’ve played in terms of graphics, courses, clubs, etc... However, it is almost imperative that you spend real money in order to advance (buy new clubs, balls, and apparel) and actually be competitive with other golfers. This game remains entertaining, but it’s not the ideal game for those just looking to play for free.

Skill is irrelevant

Spillsy68

The game is essentially a series of planned sequences. I’ve literally just hit a driver absolutely perfect (should be 255 yds on average) with a mild right to left cross wind (6mph) just 180 yards and down the left side of the fairway into a bunker. That is in spite of me also adjusting my aim to the very right hand side of the fairway. It’s clearly pre-planned and the aim is for you to play more, buy ridiculously priced clubs and balls. 3 prov1 balls are more expensive than a 3 ball in reality! I don’t pay any money and so my performance is clearly impacted. It’s a shame. It’s a beautiful game but it’s too money grab orientated.
