Memorizing Bible Verses can be daunting...for many its one of those things we hear but may never fully follow through on. This app makes it easy to start working this into your daily devotional or quiet time. I love the fact that the Bible itself is already embedded so I don't have to do a bunch of cut and paste but what I probably love th most is the pre-built 'templates.' Verse categories they are called...these are fantastic for getting started and/or at least making sure you are well grounded in the agreed upon core of verses. The New Christian's category is a must for well...new Christians. Share this app with your Church and your small groups - it should be on every iphone. Nice job Aletheia software!

The whole idea of scripture memory is something I haven't attempted in many years, but now my kids are starting to memorize Bible verses and "dad" needs a way to stay sharp with them. I love the elegance of the design of the application - simple, clean, and true to Apple UI standards -- so everything is intuitive to the iPhone owner and quickly understood. You can add any Bible verse or select from some very well thought out and organized categories - looks like it's only using the King James translation integrated in the application. Hopefully they can expand to other translations when they gain enough momentum. I'm excited to use this app - and eagerly await the next great product from the crew over at Aletheia!

I like the fact that I can choose the verses I want to memorize, not some predetermined by the app developers. Is there any chance there will be more translations added soon?

Good for initial learning

I use this app in conjunction with "Flashcard Deluxe" This app works works good to initially learn Bible verses (I use the "Hint" tool). Once I have learned the verse I transfer the verse to "Flashcard Deluxe". On said app, the cards are put on timers and your progress is logged by a percentage on how often you get the card right. Every time you get the card right the time interval increases (or decreases if wrong); some of the cards I have will not quiz again for up to 720 days. The reason I use 2 apps is because this one helps with learning each word whereas Flashcard Deluxe is better for the whole verse or just phrases. This app has no timer and does not seem to track progress. Flashcard Deluxe uses memory tactics that have been proven to help retain information. This app may have been really helpful but as soon as I realized it only used the King James Version I deleted it. Suggestion: Get some more translations and you'll appeal to a wider audience.

I really like the ease of the app and that you can choose any verse you want. I also like that as you learn them you can blend them together. Like John 1:1-4; you can do each verse separate then start putting them together as they are memorized. However, I am disappointed that I can't get it in the version I use. Please add more versions soon.
