Great idea but frustrating. Tiles are erratic and an unsolicited swap is a killer at high levels Nothing has changed since I started to play again after a 3 yr break. Drives you crazy if you have had a great game and then a swap error destroys it.. it obviously has the built in tricks to keep one playing so why can’t the developers control the tiles. The tiles will jump just laying the iPhone down. Also,a little respect for honest players would get rid of the absurd, multi million scores at the top of the leader board. Whatever, is going on with those few self developed super scorers is some gimmick and should be eliminated or given a separate board for those who like big numbers more than words.. Much of the game is luck but does also involve strategy and vocabulary. Keep it real and get rid of the players who think it is clever to rack up impossible scores with some trick they have found. They must work for the government.

The games is addicting but as you use the “tools” to keep a game going they become progressively more expensive. Possibly very expensive like the $49.95 default value to refill the tank.

First word game I owned; so glad it got updated so I can play again! I can't get enough of this game; all the other word games I was playing have fallen to the wayside. At first one might not like the concept of starting over from zero, but the game brilliantly entices you to better your score and figure out better strategies for making high scoring words with fewer moves. I love the whole look and feel and sound of the game, especially when all the bells and whistles go off congratulating one for a strategic move that earned a high score. I REALLY love the dictionary and the addition of queer arcane words with examples of usage. Thank you for creating this extraordinarily brilliant game!!!

Fun game, but the only in-app purchase is $49. You don’t really need it to enjoy the game or to play, but it would be great to have more (cheaper) choices.

The game is satisfyingly challenging. But I've lost count of how many times I've lost a game on account of the app's SCORING information being wrong. I often use the app's internal dictionary to both confirm that I've got the spelling right and to see its straight value is (without special tiles) -- only to discover that even with the addition of special tiles, the word didn't yield as much as the app told me I would with NO special tiles -- and I lost that round. Same with the special tiles: I go through the same exercise and then double check to be sure I'm adding things up correctly, only to find that the score I get doesn't match the one the app tells me I should get. I wrote directly to the app developers about two weeks ago asking for help on this. I got one response, which did not address the issue. I followed up and then ... crickets. The developers created a great, challenging game but it shouldn't be more challenging because of bugs in the scoring side, and the lack of help from support is another strike against them.

Love this game; I've played it for years. It expands my vocabulary, and newly formed words are easy to look up in the dictionary. There's a bug you need to fix when one tries to see if a new word is acceptable. The "Done" button no longer works to return me to my game board! I have to use "Menu" now to escape. Please restore the "Done" button functionality. Thanks!
