It’s a good app, tells you what you want to know

Love the weather app

Jeet321

Been using this app for years and it’s been a very smooth experience. Love the map integration and radar, being able to choose multiple sources is nice to know which weather events are possible. Update that I’m still loving the app and hope it’s around.

Trolling for money

It cute, but nothing better than what is already available for free. The annoying thing about the app is that you cannot remove the advertising as you can in other apps. If you click to close the ad, another box appears to sell you the no ad version. This is not fair and not good for those who are frugal. I will continue to use the weather channel at least there when the ads appear, I can manually remove them without being forced to make a purchase.

clean, elegant app; a few small issues

edit: no updates in 11 months. is this app dead now? im 100% cancelling my subscription if i don’t get another update soon. *every* piece of software, no matter how small, needs to be updated regularly for security and privacy reasons. ——— im starting with my biggest complaint because it’s really lazy design work: the weather icons are exceedingly ugly in the light mode home screen widgets. they have ugly white borders around them like they were quickly copied-pasted from a jpg in photoshop. and the “outlines” icons barely show up at all (i use those in dark mode on my iphone x and they look great). this would be such a quick fix, please make them look nicer. i rely heavily on the widgets on both ipad and iphone to get my weather (the main reason i left wunderground actually was that they killed the widgets). also please restore 24-hour time per phone system settings to the sunup/sundown times. if i wanted heathen 12-hour clocks on my phone i would choose that systemwide. anyways. i switched to weather up after twc destroyed weather underground. all in all im a big fan. it packs a lot of information into a tight, clean, elegant interface. but it is missing a lot of useful info that wunderground had. things like air quality and UV index would be really nice to have. more importantly, the weather icons that give the day’s weather in a quick graphic summary do a very poor job of representing that day’s actual weather. it’s been raining where i live, and ive noticed that if any rain is predicted at all on a given day, weather up will put a “raining” icon on that day—even if it’s only a 40% chance of rain part of the day and sunny the rest. that makes it seem like it’s going to be a long day of rain, when in fact it might just be sunny all day. i get that you might want to highlight the chance of rain, but you already give the chance as a percentage right below the icon. just make the icons reflect the average weather across the next 24 hours. that would make them much more useful. otherwise very good app with good weather forecasts, a nice interface and a surprisingly high degree of customizability

It troubles me that the city I live in is spelled incorrect on this app it should read Poinciana, Florida). And for that reason I can only give this app 3 stars
