Great layout Weather frequently wrong

Love the layout, the choices & ability to get temp without opening. At least I would love love LOVE it if the weather was correct. It is currently insisting it is 9 degrees in Austin TX but it is actually 41. LOL. The weekly forecasts are wrong so often I’ve stopped using them. Also it will say it is raining when it is clear & bright. It will even say clear & sunny when it is a storming all across the area. Needs a better source of weather data. When it gets that it will be a great app!

I’d give this a 5 star review except on several occasions the weather info is flat out wrong by several magnitudes. It is currently snowing and in the upper teens yet the app says it is snowing and 78. Checked other cities in the region with similar weather and the temps are all outrageously high! Where is this app getting its info? Total waste of money. If this issue isn’t fixed the app is utterly useless.

I really love this app because it’s the only one that puts the current temp on your home screen in the form of a badge icon. But for the last six months or so this keeps not working right, it’s always about 30°F too high. It’s not simply the badge icon function because when I open the app it also shows the incorrect current temp in the regular app display as well. Maybe it’s location database is off?

So far this is my favorite weather app. I’m surprised it isn’t as popular as some of the others. It’s much more visually appealing than many of its competitors and the most useful feature of all is the badge icon, which displays my current temperature. I don’t know why all the weather apps don’t have this feature because if I have to open an app to get the information, then I can just as easily google it, which means I don’t need the app. My strongest criticism is that the badge app needs to reflect my current location rather than my preset location for “home base”. Any time I travel I need to change my preset location in order to have the badge reflect my actual current weather. If you’re getting off a long flight or you’re in a hotel room, it really makes a difference to be able to quickly ascertain the local weather conditions. Even a simple road trip often involves weather changes that currently cannot be reflected by the badge icon. Also, I do have the premium version but it still limits the number of locations I can monitor simultaneously. Personally, I think that’s silly. It doesn’t cost you anything more to let me have as many as I want so I can see how all my family members are doing. If I’ve already paid for premium then you shouldn’t really care. Other than that, I do love the visual layout and I hope you keep it because it’s beautiful, especially compared to the new trend for apps to be visually one dimensional and faded in an attempt to appear minimalistic. And the badge icon definitely puts this above the rest because I rely on that daily.

Is the weather accurate I would say yes. They give you a lot to do, cool pictures, not a real break down of the day or week but it’s nice, at first there’s a lot to maneuver through...
