Great game, terrible system

Hightlight_Reel

I have never written a review for any games however I feel I need to with Wayward Souls. This game has potential to be a great game, however once your character you cannot respawn and it doesn't save anything you collected. Basically you have to restart over EVERY TIME you die. It is very disappointing and can't believe I wasted my money on such a terrible app. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Dope

Use the stick controls, pay for some upgrades

I've come to enjoy this game again. Sorry devs for previous reviews. Very harsh, with just a sweet sliver of surviveable gameplay to lure you on until you can make it through dependably and powerfully.

Great game

Dustyyyy6

This game is great, it's tough...it's like chalice dungeon style on your iPhone you will spend a lot of time playing and inching your way through character progression. It's worth the money, I had a ton of fun with Mage Gauntlet too by these guys. If you're on the fence just go for it but don't expect to finish this quickly. It's also perfect for short bursts of play but it's hard to put down.

Top 5 ever

Sky punches

This is one of the top 5 games I have played on my phone ever. Well made, well balanced, great controls, great customer service when I had an issue, and just a ton of fun. Keep it up Dev's. Will buy anything they make on the future to support.

Absolutely Amazing!

Overlord Lenora

I don't review products very often (mostly because I'm too lazy to do so) but THIS deserves a review with a 10-star rating! The gameplay is quite difficult but addicting; I get frustrated and leave for a while, sure, but I always come back to it. The music is beautifully eerie, too. I eagerly chase new pieces of story that emerge with each playthrough; even something as small as a conversation of two ghosts about one of the Saints statues gives you more info about the world, and I keep finding new tidbits despite having played the levels likely hundreds of times by now! I accidentally missed one by killing the speaker before they finished, and I still regret it. This game builds a true world, which you soon realize the story you're following is only a small part of. Amazing in every way- I could not give constructive criticism even if I tried. It's absolutely worth your money if you like beautiful music, interesting stories and world-building, and challenging but addicting dungeon crawlers (real-time ones, that is). Try this out- if you like these things, you won't regret it!

SO NO PALADIN UPDATE???

Daddytang

This game is by far one of the best iOS games to ever be played. If your a fan of adventure, rpg style character progression and a fantastic story this game has your fix. I love all the classes, the pets, the abilities, and even the grueling difficulty. My biggest worry is that we won't be getting the paladin update. Q1 has come and gone and still no update. Please Devs, don't let us down!

Why you no update??

PsychoPunk01

I love this game! Every deployment I end up going on I always play the heck out of this game. Wish I hadn't gotten a new phone cuz I lost all my hates but that's fine. I'd give a 5 star but I'm still waiting on promised updates ? so for now a 4 star. I'd give a 3.5 but I can't.

It's disappointing for me

This Game is a spin off of Mage Gauntlet. Cons -restart character for each level area -lose pets at each restart -thumbs cover up bottom corners of screen -Mage can't shoot at a diagonal, but enemies can -can see anything without being in a dark room or brightness all the way up -Grinding Pros -nice music -Neat story -Lore in ghost interactions, and environment This game is a spin off of Mage Gauntlet (MG). I was really hoping for a sequel to MG, but was still excited when this came out. Turned out to be a let down, mainly because the lack of a story driven game. Wayward reuses the enemies from MG. Same attack patterns; same design; same feel. There's a few new. Still have to grind to level up. You do this by grinding for coins to buy upgrades for the characters. Each of which must replay through the areas you've already beaten. Which is a bit annoying but makes sense in the regard that you have to beat the areas with each character to progress each characters story. Each new level (mines, tower, etc.) resets your characters amor and weapons upgrades. So when to beat the mines expecting to continue on to the tower, you instead are kicked out to the start menu and are forced to start the next area with crap gear again. This includes pets. The colors are dark making it hard to see outside. The Mage character can't shoot diagonal but the enemies can. This is a big disappointment for me cause I like the mages/archer builds in game

One of my favorite iOS games
