Excellent Writing, but You Asked if we Enjoy the App?

lynkh

No. I do not enjoy the app. Not enough? You want to know why? Here’s why. It is set up with two stories per page. In fact, one is supposed to be able to, pinch it, and the story will become legible. It will move to the center of the tablet, phone, or computer, double in size, and become readable. Well, that certainly does not happen. WAPO has two very big plusses: it is owned by an unfathomably rich man and it is left alone editorially. It was and remains a symbol of what America can do as a free nation. Will this last?or does the cheapness of the app design indicate that Bezos, too, will see the world as the province of the inordinately rich, see others as stupid and in need of being led by him and his ilk, who, by the way,can never have enough money? It is unlkely that WAPO will remain a good paper unless Amazon is split apart. Don’t wait for the trust busters to come in. Do it yourselves. Before your editorial content begins to shift toward the views of the leadership of the 1%.. Quick test: work for Amazon? How is your company adapting to the idea of a $15/hr minimum raise? Are they doing the equivalent os Walmart and CVS? Self-checkout? Oh, you silly, un-unionized children. Accept your seniors’ apologies for our part in this. Take responsibility for your own. And think, now that it’s too late, is there anything I can do? Soon, borders will start to fall as mass movements of climate refugees get on the move. What will WAPO recommend? Double trenches? Pill boxes filled with soldiers and machine guns? A dead man’s land in between? Your response will define man’s time on earth.

Worst president ever.

The Washington Post is the paper I grew-up with!!!

A Strong Liberal

I have read The Washington Post for more years than I desire to disclose. They have always been my go-to-source for the FACTS! I enjoy all parts of this wonderful Newspaper, especially the editorial page, while I sometimes find an opinion for which I personally take issue, I enjoy the many varied opinions and the fine writing. Sincerely, Mark Frederick Olson Fort Lauderdale, Florida

I love the Washington Post

brocollicinnamon

I literally couldn’t survive without the Washington Post, particularly in these perilous times. The first thing that I do in the morning is open my Washington Post app anxious to learn what happened overnight and read the articles and opinion pieces by my favorite writers and authors. I receive emotional comfort when reading the Post for without this critical newspaper “Democracy Dies in Darkness.”

Excellent news coverage, not so great interface

Scientific Spiritualist

The news coverage is in-depth and well written. I just wish there was a “headline” page so that I could decide what to read without having to scroll through.

I like the substance, i am not thrilled with the advertising blinking in the side bars, making it hard to read.

Still cannot comment on articles

FormerBlue

Accessing articles is easy & articles are not hard to find; however, the app still lacks the capability to post comments on the articles.
