Why Offline maps?
It allows you to extend your battery life and lets you save from paying expensive roaming charges when traveling.
Why TRUE offline maps? Because it is the only application for the iphone that will allow you to have
+ (Full Version) unlimited city downloads (you can download ANY city in the world and more: you can download part of a city, or even country side). The current zoom available is enough for cities, not entire countries... Though I will be adding the option to append new maps to existing maps in order to have much larger areas!
+ offline routing for any place you download. It doesn't preload routes, but calculates them without the need to be connected to the internet.
+ offline places of interest (POI) for any part of the world. You don't need to buy additional packages to get POI, everything is there when you download it.
+ offline search: search for street names and places (house numbers coming soon).
+ (Full Version) collaborative mapping: You can add new places of interests and share them with the world! You can also help improve the map, it´s fun and somehow it feels good.

Great app to help you find your way to all the tourist places and subway stops. Let it use your phone's location and you can see where you are on the map with reasonable accuracy, but it may show your location around 10 meters off.

This map is great and is easy to use. Unfortunately I'm unable to save locations. Of course this may be my own fault, not knowing how to use the features correctly. Because it's free though, there isn't much to complain about! Great map overall.
