Warm showers all needs help

Warm showers app is great for searching for potential hosts. You can send a message to the host which is great. However, there is no access to your inbox/sent messages. Without this feature one must then go look at warm showers in the web browser, essentially making the app pointless.

Why are the reviews pre- filled in. It's a good app for the traveler finding available hosts quick and easy. But not so good for the host who wants to find out about a traveler or even check messages or past feedback. Even when your logged in it doesn't let you do anything to change your profile or account.

Okay for the warm shower member cycling the globe, but not for the host. You can't access or edit your profile either. It hasn't crashed though!

great app for long distance cycle tourists

warmshowers.org is a great organization if you're a cycle tourist. no cost to join, you simply offer a place for other cyclists to stay (or not) when they pass through your part of the world. we've met w/warmshowers members in cairo, hanoi, oregon and denmark and each time it's been a great experience w/lots of information sharing and a gracious reception. the app is a simple, map-based database of the membership worldwide -- each pin represents a member -- click on a pin and the details they've posted appear in a popup -- how much notice they'd like for a stay, is their household set up for more than one guest, laundry, pets, can you tent in their yard, proximity to a bike shop, etc… we've often simply met members for coffee and to talk when in a new location to discuss a route or an area. very interesting membership overall… you can contact members through the app. you must be a member of warmshowers and sign in to use the app.

My wife and I are about to start on a tour from Vancouver to Mexico. This app is great at highlighting all of the places to stay and making it easy to get in touch with folks.

There are no obvious benefits to this app. In fact, I find it much LESS useful than the website. All the helpful Adventure Cycling maps don't load in the app. There should be an easier, more user-friendly interface for messaging hosts and managing the inbox. Also, the link to rate this app from within the app doesn't work... coughusecouchsurfinginsteadcoughcough

Touring lifesaver!

Although I'm only about one week into my trans-am bike tour, I can safely say that this is my favorite app for this kind of journey! So far I have already been able to utilize this app for 3 separate nights and have met 3 amazing families because of it. Easy to use map lets you plan out who you can possibly stay with for the coming nights. Very simple app to use overall, no complaints. If you are doing a cross country tour, this app should be on the top of your list.
