The mission is simple – you should eliminate the other sides by capturing their cities. But victory is never easy - it can only be achieved by building massive armies, training and equipping mighty heroes, befriending legendary allies, and exploring the deep dark secrets hidden within Illuria's ruins.
So make your choice! Will you lead the Sirian Knights, the Gray Dwarves, the Storm Giants, the Orcs of Kor, the Elves of Elvallie, the Horse Lords, the mysterious Selentine Empire or the evil Lord Bane? Whomever you choose, fortune and glory await you!
Detailed User Manual is included. We strongly recommend you to read it through carefully to refresh your memories and know about a few differences between this version and original game.

FAQ:
Q: How do I save or load the game?
A: Warlords Classic saves the current game automatically on start and end of turn, before and after the battle, on ruin search etc… So, you cannot use “save-load magic”. This is what we call “fair play”.
Q: Only “hot seat” play? Is multiplayer coming?
A: Yes. We are going to implement the multiplayer mode via Game Center in next updates. Now you can train your command skills against 3 levels of AI.
Q: Where are "Fog of War" and “Hero Quests” features?
A: Since Warlords Classic is a Warlords 1 port and these features were introduced in Warlords II, they are not implemented in our version. We are not yet sure if we will ever implement them. Sorry.
Q: Any other differences from the game I love for tenth of years?
A: Yes, only a few. We have replaced libraries with tombs; you will always find money in tombs, and your hero will never die searching tombs. No diplomacy available, but we will implement it. Sirians faction has +1 bonus on plain, roads and bridges, because we all agree, Sirians definitely need some support.
Warlords was one of my very first favorite computer games when I was growing up, and I was really happy to see it get ported to the iPad. Game play is great and I have enjoyed many hours of game play. I do have one very minor complaint. The sound effects in the game do not seem to be linked in any way to the volume controls. If sound effects are turned on in settings, then they are just as loud if my volume is on very quiet or very loud. I assume this is just a carry over of a port of this game from when it ran on PCs with much less sophisticated sound options.
Total blast from the past! Very nice port, exactly as I remembered. If the developers add a random map generator, I would jump for joy.
Faithful to the original game. Game play is intuitive and easy. I cannot stop playing–serious nostalgia trip! It runs well on my iPhone 5 - my only minor complaint is that the game is a bit small for older iPhones. I'm updating to a newer phone before long though and as-is the game is perfectly optimized for new phones and iPads. Update, 11/11/2016: I now have a iPhone 6S and the game sizing is perfect for 6/7 and 6/7S. Still my best iPhone game purchase to date! Update, 4/13/2020: A great game. The devs keep adding good content without messing with the game play. Even if you never played the original, this is a fun game in general. If you played Warlords back in the 90s, this is a must-buy game. Still my best iPhone game purchase to date!
The option of group chat allows the formation of teams in a much more seamless manner rather than resorting to using LINE or DISCORD or the like. I can’t wait for shared fog of war view!
This game is very fun and has multiple maps for you to play, you can play with friends too. It was totally worth the $5
Warlords while being a great port of an old game has a amazing game structure. If you’re really looking for a risk like open world to conquer this game has it for you. Once again it’s not a single player guided campaign. I find that the simplicity of design in gameplay structure is ideal and works well on mobile. Great game highly recommended.
I loved the original DOS versions of Warlords, and this iOS version just continues the love—it’s got the great, addictive gameplay I remember and has a graphics style basically identical to the originals yet still somehow easier on the eye. The team behind it continues to make improvements small and large, and I continue to say, “Oh, maybe one more turn....” :)
Nice recreation... play is smooth....wish you could get original graphics for all games
Warlords 2 was a game I couldn’t stop playing when I was younger and to find here is just amazing. This game is great and only gets better with the recent updates. Warlords is definitely worth the cost. If somehow you guys were able to add custom maps or even just the ability to randomize the units in the current scenarios that would be incredible. But with the random capitols not starting right next to each other anymore makes this game so replayable. Thank you devs, keep up the great work!
