This is Wesnoth!!

If you like Wesnoth this game is a refreshing take on that game. Most of the game is in English although some of the play buttons are in Chinese but if you already know Wesnoth it shouldn't be a problem.this game works a little different but in a good way....And it's FREE!! Only 3 campaigns but that's okay of free right? I didn't realize that Wesnoth was an open source game so I'm going to put it on my mac and mess with it maybe I'll make my own game too:) and port it to iPhone.

Update - vast improvement to the UI. Vast improvement to English language. Icons are universal and not language specific. Tutorial added. All of this immediately warrants a 4 star rating on this great looking game for the efforts of the developer. I'm holding the 5 star rating until I get some game time invested. Great work and thank you First, I have never played Westnoth so I am at a big disadvantage. The amount of information and heroes available in this game is incredible. Unfortunately, as stated the translation to English is not complete. Some of the critical functions are still in Chinese as well as some of the side descriptions. The graphics are sharp and beautiful. Troop movement is easy and precise. There is no tutorial or help section that I could find which makes the learning curve steep. I have always been a fan of Chinese historical strategy such as Koei's Romance of the 3 Kingdoms and I see tons of the same heroes implemented in this version of that timeline. I can't wait for this to be streamlined and finished. It also reminds me of the Age of Wonders style gameplay. That's 2 of my all time favorites combined. Please continue to develop this project. Although I have only given it 3 stars this is not meant to be negative as far as functionality, but due to complexity and lack of complete translation. I can't believe there are no reviews as I write this and this game definately deserves to get some recognition. With just a few minor additions ( help screen and full translation ) it will be an easy 5 star rating.

A decent effort but...

Not completely original. Many of the graphics have been, er, 'borrowed' from Battle for Wesnoth, a freeware open source success story. It does have an iOS version. Pretty cheap and with a battle tested interface, also free on PC, Mac, and Linux.

It kicks me out the right when I tap the game to play it :( please fix please I wanna try it soon

If u r a fan of wesnoth don't get this app

I am seriously disappointed. I thought I was purchasing a sequel to battle for wesnoth. It is confusing, the touch pad navigation doesn't even work in the tutorial. The icons are not names so you have no idea what you are supposed to be selecting The English is obviously a translation by a someone who is not a first language English speaker.
