Track your walking using GPS or a treadmill, and use your accumulated miles towards different walking routes around the world. Even if you are just walking on your treadmill at home, circling your neighborhood, or walking on your local high school track, you can challenge yourself to complete the Appalachian Trail or take a tour of the memorials in Washington D.C. There are plenty of walks to choose from, with many more on the way!
Each route has something different to offer. While on your treadmill or with GPS outside, "walk" past landmarks on your route, view rich content including high quality pictures and information that sounds like it came straight from a tour guide. But don't think it comes so easy, information about landmarks are locked until you reach them!
Treadmill setting works by setting the speed in the Virtual Walk app to match the speed on your treadmill at home. If outside, use GPS instead. The GPS is very accurate. Virtual Walk automatically detects a low GPS signal and shuts down to save battery life.
Virtual Walk works as a daily fitness tracker. Virtual Walk automatically keeps track of your time and mileage while you are walking and logs it in a nice format for you to review later. Longer routes can be done in multiple days, as Virtual Walk will save your progress automatically when you are finished, so that you can start where you left off tomorrow.

I use this app on my treadmill at home and it keeps me motivated to walk. It is addicting to accumulate your miles and see your progress.

I really enjoyed my virtual walk of Arches today! It would be nice to be able to add the distance walked on treadmill rather than have it go in real time. I walk outside on a track and can't see the images in the sunshine and would like to enter the distance when I got back inside instead. Awesome ap though, and thanks!!!

Street view on Grand Canyon is awesome ! Please add this feature to the other walks....would be nice to be able to make up our own routes and be able to have street view as well....

With this app you can only see a dot in a map, not even a satellite map, so you don't see where you are virtually walking by. You can unlock the pictures of landmarks, but you have to read the information. This is not practical at all because its really difficult to read if you are running.

Well I downloaded this hoping it would actually "virtually" show you the area you chose to see or 'walk around' at. Wrong answer. You only see your small icon moving on a map. Really? This was a complete waste of time and very misleading. I saw their ad on Facebook and thought it would be neat to virtually walk around New York. It's just an old fashioned map. You can however click on a picture. Yay. This May be ok if your actually visiting these places and perhaps just need a map to show you where your walking, but, google maps already did that years ago. ??????

Appears to use Google maps with icon moving as you move. I thought it would be virtual and even bought an extra. I should have known better! Pull up Google Maps instead!!
