I will update my rating if the developer ever responds to my problem. I have latest iTunes (10.0.1), OSX (10.6.4), iOS (4.1) and this app (1.1). I enabled Remote Login on a couple computers. When select a computer and enter username and password, I get a spinning wheel for a few seconds and the app quits. The volume control screen never appears. I followed all troubleshooting steps: deauthorize/reauthorize computer, remove/reinstall app, but nothing helped. Emailed developer and issued iTunes report - no useful response yet from developer.

I had a need for this and it does exactly as promised. Perfect. I'm using Snow Leopard without any problems.

Worthless app. I could not even search for my mac. It didn't work at all. I have latest v. of iOS 4.1.2. I paid $ for nothing. Asking for a refund.

Works with snow leopard. Go to system prefs on your mac. Click on sharing folder. Check box next to remote sharing (turning it on). Your computer should now show up on your handheld device. Enter proper user name and pw. (same name as your home folder on the mac). Then you should be good. !!!make sure that the computer and the iPhone/iPod are both connected to the same wifi signal, otherwise won't do it!!!

Update on Nov. 11, 2010 seems to have resolved crashing issues. Fours stars because the video setup link does not work, leaving me to try to figure out how to make this work on my own. All you guys who keep insisting that this app doesn't work at all, here's what you need to do: System Preferences->Sharing. Enable Remote Login. I suggest you create a user with limited rights, just for this app. FYI - The app logs into your Mac via SSH and issues volume control commands.

This ap works perfectly, although the video didn't work, I figured it out by the guy who included the system preference instructions on his review. Just know that your computer ID or username are case sensitive, also when adjusting the volume through this ap, you won't see the adjustment on your MacBook, but you'll hear the difference in a fraction of a second. Precisely what I was looking for and no frills or ads, very simple!

It works fine on admin accounts but not on managed parental control accounts. Sharing must be turned on.

Set up was easy after reading the reviews. Great little utility to have.
