There are three parent scales available: Major scale, Harmonic Minor, and Melodic Minor.
The mode in the middle is the one in focus and the surrounding bubbles are the modes that are related to it.
Swipe left or right to go "up" or "down" the modes in each parent key.
You can also tap/touch a mode to jump to that mode.
Change keys up or down by tapping on the letter name menu on the bottom right of the screen. You can also swipe up or down to change keys.
Click "back" to choose a different parent scale.
The chord names in each bubble are the possible chord voicings possible in each mode and are as follows: triads, seventh chords, extended chords, modal voicings.
For more information on modal theory and more useful concepts of this app, see the book "Voicing Modes" by Noel Johnston.
Works great! Thanks for doing this. Definitely a handy reference when coming up with improv/writing ideas in the three most-used parent scale sounds.
