I had the same "upgrading" problem.

Daniel Freveletti

The upgrade does not work and all my videos can not be stored anywhere. I believe it still charged me.

Ehhh

There are some functions that are not accessible on iPod that are on iPhone, like gain control. I really need the help for those controls.

Superb, perplexed by other reviews

I've spent the last week and a half trying out, at great expense, a flurry of audio editing apps. What I needed was an editor that could handle multiple tracks and long audio files (around an hour) for a podcast that I do. None of the others that I tried with multi-track could actually import a file of that length. Others, like Hindenburg, are not multitrack. I had basically given up on my search when I found this app. I haven't even touched its video capabilities, but I was able to edit my entire hour-long podcast from my iPad. The iPad version's design is actually intuitive and pleasant--which is most definitely not the case with audio editing apps. The iPhone version is a steeper learning curve, just because of understandable UI decisions the developers had to make with less real estate. I'm no audio editing expert by any means, yet I found it reasonably easy to master the editing functions in half an hour, working with a dummy file. The in-app documentation is clear. To export files you need to in-app purchase the "sharing" functions. This is probably the source of the low ratings, but $10 is an utterly fair price for an audio and video editor of this caliber. In effect the developers are getting punished for providing what so many of us used to the indie Mac app world clamor after: a trial version. Once I could see that it would meet my needs, I was more than happy to pay the $10. I only wish I could have tried out some of the other apps I was forced to purchase, only to have them reject the audio files that represented the sole reason for purchasing them in the first place. Excellent app with no peer (in my use case).

Crashes

The only app that does multitrack video editing

OnTheRoad54

This app is the only thing available to edit multiple video and audio tracks. It is designed for professionals and advanced amateurs, not people looking to string together a few clips. iMovie does that excellently and elegantly. Those who are giving it bad reviews do not understand what it's for. This app is challenging to learn, but if you read the documentation and watch a few of the help videos, it can be learned pretty quickly. One thing to note is that is is very processor intensive. You may need to quit all your apps that may be running in the background to avoid crashing on startup. iMovie is particularly "heavy" so quit that first for sure. I use this to mix an interview with a subject as my a-roll with b-roll of an event ( I am a photojournalist who produces several videos a week with iMovie and this app on my phone or ipad, and Adobe Premiere on my computer). That said, it is not perfect. Besides the complicated interface and learning curve, there is 1 small but important flaw having to do with editing audio precisely: there is not a pause button; the stop button takes you back to the beginning. So if you are playing a clip and want to stop to cut the clip (say at the end of a sentence), you lose your place. (Also if you're playing the video and audio together, the video preview covers the audio waveform, but that's a minor problem compared to the lack of a pause. If this (seemingly) easy to fix flaw was fixed, I could edit much more of my video in the field on the ipad, instead of having to head into the office and edit on Premiere ( I know I could edit in the field on a Mac, but alas we became corporatized and they took them away. ) The simple addition of pause would make this a 5-star app for me.

Idk how I feel about this app

Awesome(dude)

This app won't allow me to add a video so I don't know how I feel about it

Timeline problems

16Rocco16

Great app for editing or mixing music but I can't move along the timeline anymore with my phone or my Ipad. This makes mixing music and making videos much harder, try to fix this by next update and it'll be best app for this function

Nice app with some cons..

berlybsquare

The app is amazing considering the features it delivers at this price.their is multitrack editing (one that most rivals doesn't have),user friendly interface and hd support etc..even though impressive till now there are a few cons like very few effects which are just basic ones like fade-in and fade-out,no trailers included in the package, lack of animation as well as graphics.i was actually going to purchase pinnacle studio after being not convinced by voddio demo version.the only thing that made me to upgrade voddio instead of purchasing pinnacle is that i didnt hv enough money..:-p...so i really hope that voddio will soon give an update with trailers and enough efx.

Lot of features but not needed

PfotoMatt

Downloaded this over a year ago. Steep learning curve, now that iMovie had b-roll capability this app is ready for the drawer of obsolete gizmos. If I really need to do heavy vid editing, I'll just use Final Cut. Forget this app.
