Apparently this program is only for people who already know how to use it.

iPhone junglism!

This has quickly become one of my favorite ever music making apps on the iPhone. Enhanced ProTracked workflow that’s great for cutting up breaks, messing with samples synths, and making chords with the AutoChord feature. I honestly complete more full tracks in VividTracker than in any of the fuller DAW apps. The learning curve can feel a bit steep, especially if you’re new to trackers - but there are great ProTracker tutorials out there and it’s easier to handle if you take the effect references 1 by 1. Also, the dev has been extremely responsive and helpful on Twitter - added bonus!

-than I've been about an app going live (especially a new iOS DAW) than Ive been in a very long time - yes it's not "new" in a way, but it is a ton of freaking composition and sound design power, and it's not $50, or even $20, it's $3 bucks. Calvin Harris used to make mods, for goodness sake.

Use it to play mods

I never quite learned how to use a tracker I had a few of them anyway. If this guy wants to emulate more of them I'm up for buying them too. How about Octamed for starters?

Remember Amiga? Remember the demoscene? If you can answer yes to both of these, you'll love Vividtracker. This is the real deal, a Protracker 2 clone with VERY little added to its core functionality. There are, of course, interoperability additions, like audiopaste, Audiobus, etc—but the core of the tracker itself has only been expanded by activation of the 08 effect as an auto-chord. Want to learn how we did it back in the day? Buy this.

Learn how to make music AFX style. Spend a month learning this tracker, constrain yourself and you will find your true sound. Great app. Must buy.

A very nice tracker - a few changes would be nice

This is by far the best tracker app you will find, kinda hard to find in AppStore because it's underused. However, this app is great, letting you audio paste or use a midi keyboard as input. One change I'd like to see is a way to import midi files so I could lay out a quick beat in another app and then use that. One other thing that would be nice is a file server system over local network so I can wirelessly send .mods between pc and iPad. Other than that, this app is great!

Yay!

I'm so delighted to have purchased this app!

This is an Editor, not Player

I was looking for an app to play tracker music on my iPhone without converting files into MP3 format when I found VividTracker. The app works fine, however it serves best for editing modules rather than listening to your music collection. So if you need just a player, try Modizer. However, if you need an Editor, VividTraccker is your app and it does a good job.
