Why does the world need another countdown timer app? I’m frequently required to give public speeches or make presentations. I'm also quite nearsighted, which makes it difficult for me to read wall clocks from a distance. As a result, I’ve long sought a simple timer app that I could just set down on a nearby desk or podium to help keep my talks from running too long. No app I could find quite fit the bill. Some are beautiful but difficult to read. Many let my phone’s lock screen blank the display after a few minutes. And as far as I can tell, none provide an option for an audible low-time reminder. I designed Visual Task Timer to meet my own needs, but I’ve since found that it can serve many other useful functions. Teachers can use it help administer tests. Just prop an iPad up in front of the class, and your students will know exactly how much time remains before “pencils down.” Need to keep a panel of conference presenters on schedule? Use in my Kindergarten class

This is the perfect timer to keep my class on task. During play time, they have 5 minutes to get cleaned up to start learning activities - I love that this timer gives a reminder to clean up and once completed. It’s simple and easy to use. As of IOS 13, I’ve noticed a few bugs: 1) the icon in the “recently used” bar at the bottom, doesn’t open the app any more. 2) whenever the app produces a sound, the app closes.

I use this app for all my meetings so that everyone can be time conscious. I really appreciate the time remaining warning and the variability of the alarms, especially the more low key alarms for a professional environment. Don’t know what I’d do without this app.

Very disappointed with the amount of time for countdown. The most was 23 minutes. Settings did not allow for adjustments. Not usable in the professional field for even practicing speech giving! I definitely wouldn’t recommend.
Elegant and simple design good for meditation

I use the app for meditation. I love the design and use of colors colors elegant and simple very easy to use. When meditating it can be set up so you can briefly open your eyes and all the information is there at once without having to think about it, scroll, touch the screen.

I downloaded this app specifically for timing speakers in zoom meetings. In particular I wanted it took show the countdown and 'count-up' when the time heads expired. I only wish the seconds were displayed larger.

I have been looking for a goof speaker timer for months! I love how simple and clean the interface is. It has a screen lock which is hard to find, a timer that locks out is useless to a speaker! Once time has run out it will count up! Love it!

This is a really great app in general. Personally I just like the simple yet pretty interface, and it is great for helping me pace myself with taking breaks from homework. I highly recommend that you download it, if not just to keep as a backup.

I love this timer, although I don’t use it for public speaking purposes. I use it with my daughter so she can see how much time she has left for a task since she’s still too young to understand the concept of time. I prefer this simplistic design over visual timers geared for children which have too many bells and whistles in my opinion. This would be 5 stars for me if it could do seconds and if there were an option for a more noticeable sound that needed to be dismissed manually.
