This game seemed fun at first but food runs out REALLY quickly. And, what's with the alge in the water? I can't fish I'm on village # 5! My people keep dying. Needs some work.

I love this game so far! except I can't find the last gong piece! I found the one in the crate, the pond, and the vines, could someone tell me where the last one is! Thanks!

I had been pausing the game when I wasn't playing Tim make sure the village lasted during long periods away. Apparently it doesn't always pause. Halfway through the game and I'm down to one villager and zero food. How is this possible with the game paused? The same thing has happened to my husband on his iPhone. I'm not sure I want to start all over. It's fun to play but not if yo have to start from the very beginning after so much time. Hopefully it's a glitch they fix.

Problems w/the game

Can't get rid of birds... Can't buy tech points of any kind with this game. ....algae can't be gotten rid of fast enough... Villagers weaken too quickly. ..... And it's not as satisfying as the first game where you can get or buy tech points and progress faster... Just not as much fun as the 1st. I've started new games many times now and I find it too frustrating.

Every time i have more villagers when i leave out of the app for 2 seconds it says i have 7 when 3 times now i have left it when it has had 11. This is a great app. Please fix is a shame to see such a great app have such a huge error

The people is this game do absolutely nothing. I will set people to do things (usually build, research, and get food) and I'll come back a few hours later and no progress will have been made.

This is a great game. Almost all the bad reviews I see are from people who can't figure out the puzzles and seem to have decided that there is something wrong with the game, and I am honestly kind of amazed (in a bad way) as I read them. The food problem is easily solved with a little careful planning: get the second level of farming while you can still fish so you can collect coconuts after the algae shows up; get the second level of construction while collecting coconuts and then set a builder to create a dam to irrigate the fields; as soon as you have your field, build a scarecrow to get rid of the birds. After that you have all the time you need to collect enough points to get farming level 3 and clear the algae. Just make sure to keep your population on the low side until you can fish again. JayIsGames has great walkthroughs for all the virtual villagers games; it is a great resource if you ever get stuck (I use it for the stew recipes - I can never remember them). Honestly, if you just google "virtual villagers 2" the Walkthrough is one of the first links to pop up. The only problem I've seen with the game is that when I paused the game for a weekend camping trip, back when I was just starting the game, it didn't actually pause. When I came back my villagers were all dead. :( Since I was still near the beginning it wasn't too much of a hassle to start over, but that is a bad glitch that they should really work on fixing. If not for that, I would have given this app 5 starts.
