Can be used as a standalone app or directly from Safari!
View Source offers developers and other curious people to view the source code of any website on the internet!
For any feature requests or problem reports tweet me @r00m
Open Safari, open webpage, open share sheet and select View Source, wait for page source to appear, cannot search within the page so select share... crashes.
This app lets you see the source code in the most bare-bones fashion, but for it to be really functional there needs to be some way to search through the code. As it is now, it is more useful to save a JavaScript bookmark and view a page's source through that; At least then it would be searchable.
I just wanted to view the source code of a website while I was out walking but the popular apps were paid ones. As an amateur web dev this app made me very happy. A quick, small download gave me the instant gratification I was hoping for! The safari integration is AWESOME! I almost missed it but then I looked in the share and activity menu and there was a new View Source item! Pros: - free - Does what it says it does - Safari integration - Can select and copy, speak, and use all the share settings Recommendations: - add search & find feature - (Maybe) add a color option (to color code different bits like html, JavaScript, comments, etc)
Small app, works perfectly to let you view page source code. Does everything it say it will.
Not much to say beyond that the app works well and is free. Fills much needed role missing from safari and chrome on iOS.
The page I needed to view is behind authentication. The app only allowed me to see the source of the sign-in page. Then, I discovered that the app had built in add a new action to Safari under the Safari action button. This allowed me to do what I needed, which is to sign in to the site in Safari and view the source from there. Outstanding!
Amazing that this is free and works as expected. I've been looking for a way to view source code on the go
