What's with the character limit?

Yeah, it converts to gif. But it is very, very basic on the text add. I need more characters for this to be useful at all.
Started Off Promising
simpleasfresh.
First few tries with this app worked great & I thought this was going to turn into a favorite. But suddenly stopped working & crashing. Disappointed.

It is my first time to use it. It's fantastic! But I've no idea how I can save cartoons or emojis in my video.

Reminder tool
You can't export to your photos app without turning the gif into a video, and Instagram only accepts videos that are 3 seconds or longer, which a gif often isn't. That makes it pretty much incompatible with Instagram.
