I have searched long & hard for a video player and manager that does exactly what this app does. Until now, I have been disappointed. After a few days of using it, I upgraded to pro to get rid of the ads and don't regret it. Features I really liked with this app: • It uses closed caption files (.srt) without the need of the movie file & .srt file to be changed so they both have the exact same name ...like the current version of VLC mobile requires. • WIFI sharing is a breeze. With many other apps that I tried, I had handshake & connection issues trying to DL files to my iPad from my Mac. • Creating folders is easy and great for keeping movie files and corresponding CC (.srt) files together (which is the only requirement for them to work) • The views and sorting features allow you to keep everything organized very well. • Moving files using copy/paste commands makes it simple although I had no manual to find this out so it was trial & error. • This player allows audio on videos to continue even if you lock device. This works great for me especially when I take a video podcast with me while driving. I'm able to listen to the video without as much battery drain. Many apps I tested stopped video playback after the device is locked. • I had no issues playing any of my .MP4 or .MKV video files. Overall, it was better than VLC in every respect as far as my needs were concerned.
