Before purchase we provide a free download so you can see for yourself what value the app provides.
Choose vegetables that harmonise well together. You will find information regarding good/bad neighbor plants for each vegetable.
For your chosen garden composition you get tabular overviews to quickly determine sowing/harvest times, and which interactions exist between vegetables.
As an bonus feature, you can visually arrange your vegetable patch with our Patch Plan Editor - with vital information regarding planting distance & good/bad neighbors at your fingertips.
You will also be warned of problematic crop rotations, e.g. if you place two plants with strong soil depletion at two consecutive seasons!
Note regarding the climate zone: The seedtimes and harvesttimes are adjusted to hardiness zones USDA 7-8 (e.g. Atlanta, Seattle or Central Europe). Please adapt accordingly.
Would be nice if it could, after you select your crops, populate the Patch Plan itself to minimize crop conflicts. Also would be nice to put in my location so it can determine what is needed to be successful.
Seems to be incorrect... is dill really a good companion for carrots? Everywhere else says no. Refund please.
I love the idea of the app. Functions well too. My only problem with it is the microscopic font size when I use it from my iPhone. Have the developers tried to actually use it?
I was excited for this app but its not great. The zones are set to 7/8 and are NOT changeable. And the veg options are pretty limited. Disappointed.
Good start for this app. I was hoping to be able to set the zone and adjust the dates according to my knowledge of growing in my area. Being able to create different shapes of garden bed would also be nice. Reasonable price for the full application if the zone suits your needs, especially considering the developers respect for user data (it isn’t using location etc, where other garden apps for different developers I had looked at where basically taking any information they could get...not necessary for this). Given the respect for the user, I would purchase this if the features get built up more even if the purchase price goes up (as it stands, it’s not super helpful for my location and needs, but I like what I see in it regardless). I’ve seen fully featured garden software but it required an annual subscription; I’d rather pay a flat fee to purchase use of an app or software.
I paid to open the full list of vegetables and there still wasn’t all of the vegetables seeds I have listed.
Not much more helpful than a basic drawing app. Needs way more vegetable varieties already loaded. Only way to take an image is just a blurry picture. Needs a PDF export function. Already loaded veggies need to be editable. Sun orientation/shading of plants would be nice, as would a month by month look at what’s grown and what replaces spots, as the year progresses.
Am I missing it or something? I’ve bought the extras but it’s still not enough. Can’t you add a feature where the app users can manually enter it. Just a thought. Either way, I like the planning feature. Easy to understand and simple. Just wished there were more plants added.
Purchased this app last night and anytime I try to use the app it says to buy/restore purchases.
I like it. It has just the right features that are easy to navigate. I find it very helpful.
