Awesome

Vector 2 is a great addition to the franchise. I like the idea of having more than three tricks in each track rather than only being able to perform 3 tricks like the first Vector game, besides that one bonus track. I don’t know if it is meant to be like this, but some of the tricks seem to be done differently. The freerunner seems to float during the Triple Hit Trick and the Cheat Gainer. I would like to see some kind of boss fight where you can defeat the enemy using parkour tricks and stuff like that. I personally think it would be pretty cool if done right. It would also be cool to have people chasing you besides the swarm and take them down using parkour moves too. Anyway, it’s a great game and totally worth it.

Not a fan

The original Vector was so simple and challenging and fun. I don’t want a game where I need to buy upgrades with real money, rather than being able to earn the money in game and buy them because I’ve invested time in the game. This game may have the same animation style as the first, but it’s not even close to a sequel. I’m deleting this app and just going to replay the original. Also free running is about using your environment for movement. Unlike the first game, this game is nothing but a hostile environment and is completely contrary to the entire concept of free running. Lasers and land mines shouldn’t be something a free running has to deal with. It’s a lame concept trying to profiteer off the back of a very cool original concept.

Needs to be fair

I like this game but it’s kinda unfair because the swarm will catch you even if you pass through the obstacles perfectly and also are you going to add an ending to the game like the first one

Long, Drawn Out Sigh...

*SPOILER ALERT* OK. Originally, I got this game a few months back. I advanced to the maintenance area within a couple of hours and got stuck on the “find the server” mission. After leaving the app open in the middle of a run, I got the “blue screen of death” that others have reported. The only issues I had before then were the unskippable intro scene that is a minute long any time the app is opened, that land mines occasionally seemed to have too large of collision boxes and that the swarm would be unavoidable. A few weeks ago, I re-downloaded the app, as that was the only way to get rid of “the blue screen.” I again advanced to the maintenance area, and recently found out that there was no mission for floor 35, regardless of what the plot says. Having seen the other reviews, I can confirm that mine is not an isolated incident. I also experienced the insane lag, but I eventually learned to deal with the brunt of it. I discovered the clipping issue, although it only directly killed me once. As for the swarm, the times it is unavoidable is in red marked areas, a place where you must lose at least one charge. That charge, in those instances, at least, is either from a regular obstacle or the swarm. Now, addressing the other issues of the level up system and the micro transactions. Although frustrating at times, the level up system seems to be balanced enough for experienced players to complete all the current missions, although I am occasionally frustrated by bottomless pits that appear with no obstacle warning and instantly end your run, regardless of how many armor charges you have. I also never had to put a cent into this game, and, given that I have reached the 56th floor with a floor 30 start, without paying for anything, I would say that the level up system is not too slow, as others claim; that the lag is not going to end your game on every floor, as none of the floors were lag free; and that as long as you willing to actually play the *flipping* game, you don’t have to pay to win. So, my final opinion on the game. I would very much like an end to the game, as the current finish doesn’t feel natural in the slightest. Given that it has been ten months since the last update, I expect the next area to come out either very soon, or not at all. I enjoy the game, although, given that there is no more incentive to play, I don’t expect to do more than one or two runs after writing this review. If you are looking for a finished game or one that you can pick up and complete with ease, look elsewhere. However, apart from the lag, gameplay is phenomenal, better even than last game, thanks to the randomly generated levels. If you played and completed the first game, congratulations! This should only take you a couple weeks to get to the end of. You also understand what’s up with the start of the game. If you haven’t played the first game, or didn’t finish it, expect this to take up to a month to complete, assuming you stick it out for that long. I appreciate the game as it is, however, due to the unfinished nature of this game, the lag and the glitches, I can only give it four stars.
