Fun to play but the layout needs to be improved desperately. It’s a headache to navigate.

Disappointing

Pretty princesssss

Long ago in a galaxy far far away, there was a Facebook game I used to play about vampires. I thought this was an app version of that game and was very very wrong. However, I’ll keep this review unbiased. 1) There are absolutely no instructions or a tutorial when this game first loads up. While yes it is a simple game, when you’re just thrown into it without any knowledge of what you’re doing, it’s frustrating trying to figure everything out. 2) The fighting system is very poorly developed. For example, a level seven vampire could lose to a level one for absolutely no reason. I know from experience. It seems like it’s randomly generated whether you win or lose, because I have no idea what’s going to happen when I decide to attack another player. Not only this, but the only way to get experience is by winning fights with higher level vampires, which is impossible. I managed to do it ONCE and I still only got THREE experience points, which is ridiculously low considering how much experience is needed to level up. 3) The whole coven aspect is a good idea, but not entirely thought out for this game. How in the world are you supposed to get anyone to be apart of your coven or join anyone else’s coven? By advertising their app. That’s how. You are their free advertisement. By posting on Facebook or twitter or emailing someone about the game, there’s a slim chance they’ll join and become a part of your coven, but hey, the app is now being advertised from your Facebook. While this isn’t a bad idea for them, there’s NOTHING you can do without coven members. Most things take at least one coven member, usually more. There are two missions that can be accomplished without others, and you can control a minion, but you can’t level it up. Like I said, it IS a good idea, more people, stinger player. However, there’s no way to obtain people unless you do their advertising for them. 4) Now, I’ve mentioned roughly every aspect of the game. What could be next? Well, let me to you! The Blood collected through the game is basically currency. Most everything you do involves blood. Abilities cost blood, healing cost blood; blood is important. However! I have noticed that my blood magically disappears! I have absolutely no idea where it goes, just vanishes. For example. I had over six thousand blood that I had been saving to buy an ability. I attacked another player and injured myself. No worries, I’ll just spend a bit to heal myself. Only cost 775 blood. So, I healed, then went to go buy an ability and WAS COMPLETELY OUT OF BLOOD. I can’t even tell you how upset I was. This was not the first, and probably will not be the last time this will happen. Granted, I could have put it in the blood bank, but every time I did that, my blood would also disappear, so I stopped. Obviously, I’ve now discovered it’s a glitch in the game that will happen regardless. All of these aspects taken into account, I would not recommend downloading this game. The concept is a good one, but not developed nearly enough. It still need a LOT of work. Also being said, I still continue to play this game even though it is extremely frustrating. For absolutely no good reason, I can sit my phone down for a while, then when I get on it again and say, “Gotta check my vamp,” then get right on the app. Which is why I’ve given it two stars instead of only one. If the developers are reading this, please take some time to renovate your app. Fix some of the things I’ve talked about and maybe you’ll retain players easier. Thanks for reading my very long review!

Seems typical, invades privacy though

Seems like a typical browser game, but for your phone. I'd use it, except even with location services off, the game still pulls up a google map of your location for certain actions. That's SUPER CREEPY. I specifically did not turn on location services to AVOID that.
