Select the cards you want students to see, and have your students fill in the blank to practice the personal pronouns “I” and “me.” The prompts include statements like, “___ wrote a story about lions” and “The story about lions was written by ___.” The Automatic Scoring option allows the students to choose from one of two answers to complete the sentence correctly.

This App is simple to use — each student looks at an illustration and either reads the prompt or touches the screen to listen to the prompt and answer choices. The student then responds by touching his/her answer. Move to the next card by sliding the card currently on the display screen to the side. To move to the next player, tap the bar at the top of the screen and select a name. You can also advance cards and players automatically by selecting the Auto-Advance option in the Game Options menu. You can leave a game temporarily and return to it later by selecting Pause Game from the menu. To return to the game, select Continue Game from the main menu. When you finish, view the results in a graph, and print or email your data.

Using I and Me Fun Deck® App lets you:
• Use the app in portrait or landscape orientation.
• Select all 52 cards or just the ones you want students to see.
• Track correct and incorrect responses for an unlimited number of players.
• Advance players and cards manually or automatically.
• Receive feedback for incorrect and/or correct responses
• Discontinue game play and continue at any time.
• View results in a graph and see which questions a player missed during a session.
• Print, E-mail and share your results.

From just playing with before using with kids.....

I like that I can select cards. I do wish the the correct answer would be said by the program voice for additional reinforcement. Would also be nice if you could upload your own target pics and sentences. I'd pay a little extra for that,

Subjective & objective pronouns
SLPGrayhair

I would like to be able to choose just subjective or just objective pronouns. I'm a speech therapist and often work with kids who substitute objective pronouns for subjective. A game that mixes them doesn't work for me. I like the feedback option, though.

Great for the kids

My boys 6 & 4 play this. Totally awesome they are correcting language just from this game! Thanks for making it fun!

Good

Good way to work on I and me. Love super duper materials and apps.

Good but could be great

I like this app and want to use it with a kindergartner. It would be really helpful for the correct sentence to be read after the correct choice is made. That would be a good model for students. Thanks!

Worth it!

I was surprised how great this app turned out to be.

Super
They love it!

As an elementary school English as a second language teacher, I love Super Duper Fun Decks. Pictures are an indispensable tool for learning language. The pictures in this Fun Deck are a springboard for language production and comprehension. Teachers can use the images in conjunction with a sentence frame in order to structure and extend the students' responses. Since this fun deck can automatically correct a response, students can play the game independently with partners. Or, I can project the game from the iPad onto a screen and we play as a whole group. In whole group playing, student partners confer with each other and write their answers on a small white board. I award points for the correct answer AND for the partners explaining why they made the answer choice. Playing whole group or in a small group with the teacher has the advantage of greater metacognition as students have to explain their thinking. Playing independently in small partner groups has students go through the questions and answers more quickly and has the advantage of giving students more opportunities to respond. The app provides instant feedback, letting the students know if they've answered correctly. It also keeps score so teachers can monitor their students' progress. This means that the teacher is not the lynchpin holding the students' attention and collecting data. The colorful app keeps the students engaged and learning!

I really like this app! Thank you.

Great classroom app

Great app for teaching I/me. It would be helpful for the kids to hear the sentence WITH the correct pronoun (I/me). That's the only reason I gave it a 4. Thanks for the great app, Super Duper!

Very basic
Review5576

I and me are often used incorrectly, but this app only includes the most basic of uses, like "Jenny and ___ went to the store." There are more difficult and commonly misused examples which should be included.
