Absolutely love this app but why has there been no card database updates since the amonket set?

Could be great but isn’t updated with latest sets. It’s so easy to see mana curves and best search for cards by type/text/legality etc. Such a shame developer has abandoned it. Feel cheated out of my Pro purchase.

The app is great and usually up to date with legality of cards. The app also updates with new sets but for some reason missed the whole kaladesh block for me. I have used this app for years and would love to see minor improvements to removing cars from collections or decks the little “x” is hard to hit when it shouldn’t be. Adding a swipe left and a delete conformation would work perfectly.
Simple, Easy, and All-Around Good

This app is my main go-to for deck building, finding cards I can’t remember names of, or finding new ones. It has a precise filter system that even allows you to search for specific texts of a card, or specific artists. I recommend this to anyone looking for a new Deck-building app. It does have some problems however. Firstly, there’s a significant time lapse between a set’s release and it’s appearance on the app. Some side sets (Vintage Masters, Archenemy Nicol Bolas, etc.) aren’t even listed. There’s a bug (or perhaps an oversight) that lists all cards from the Tarkir Block and Modern Masters sets as illegal in Modern. The app doesn’t include sideboard cards in the deck’s total price, and there is no filter for online-exclusive sets. That aside, most problems are either nit-picks or minor inconveniences.

I would give this app 5 stars if the card database was up to date. Anything before Shadows Over Innistrad, you’re good. Anything in SOI and after, not there.

This a is a nice comprehensive tool for searching, pricing, and some testing of your magic decks. It doesn’t have everything I need and some of the functionality needs to be purchased but for less than 10 bucks it’s worth it. I am still awaiting the addition of the new set to the card list so I can finish some testing, but all in all this is a great app and I use it daily!

Free user here, and I won’t upgrade due to flaws and what seems like a lack of support. Don’t get me wrong, this is easily the best MTG app I’ve found for iOS, but it’s far from perfect. (See MTGFamiliar and/or MTGUnofficial for Android if you want to know how to get it right.) My main complaint is the lack of update. Rivals has been out for at least two weeks, and the list of card legalities hasn’t been updated in at least two years. Values update in real time from TCG so at least they got that right. Search engine needs a little work to be cutting edge, also need to be able to select by the name of the card and then set instead of simultaneously. I don’t need to see every version of Forest ever made. Database is very spotty where promos are concerned. The play tester is pH14 basic, not even a turn or card draw counter. I can do better with pen and proxy. That said, the free deck builder is at least enough to get the job done. The lack of stats doesn’t really bother me, as any player worth his or her cards should already have that information in mind at all times anyway. Having 5 decks out of the gate is nice too. Even as a rabid MTG player, I never find myself needing the space to be working on six decks at a time. All in all, if you just need a C+, free MTG app; this could be what you’re looking for. Unless you play standard. Then you’re hosed by the lack of updates.

Doesn't update quickly, but still the best app for MTG on phones. Worth upgrading to the premium version as well.
