Fix it for iOS 8/iPhone 6

Giarca

Crashes on launch. Must delete and reinstall for it to work. Also, no iCloud support to sync favorites when you must reinstall? Update your app already...

WAS a great app. Can't open it now.

Doesn't open in iOS 8.1. Been out for a while. Why no fix??

Good app

Great app the dictionary works perfect, but are planning to upgrade so it can work with iOS 8. My app crashes in mi iPhone 6

Excellent app

It is a fine app - works great.

Not very comprehensive

Bought it and paid more than 20 USD for the in-app purchase of the Collins English-German dictionary. The first word I searched for, "wraith", was missing. This may be good enough for beginners, but it definitely is not for "serious language students" as advertised. And for beginners it is way too expensive.

WORKS on iPhone 6

Thanks to another reviewer, I just discovered UltraLingua Dictionary Book Shelf app WORKS on iPhone 6 and iOS 8 after all. Just delete the app from your iPhone 6, restart your phone and then reinstall the UltraLingua Dictionary Bookshelf app, and finally, launch the app and Restore your purchased dictionaries. You have to scroll to the bottom of the "Try It" dictionary list to find the "Restore my purchases" command.

Latest version doesn't work

I've used Ultralingua for years... going back to my old Palm device. The app was listed as an update in my iPhone so I did it. Now when I try to open it the app flashes on the screen and then goes to background. Clicking on it there results in the same issue. iPhone 6 with iOS 8.1.2. Rebooting phone did not help. Also, the email I received from Ultralingua this morning mentioned v. 2.5 but the version number on iTunes is listed as 2.4.1 Hopefully Ultralingua will fix this soon. Otherwise my half dozen or more PAID dictionaries are useless

Lotsa choices!

Skater82000

Plenty of in-app purchase choices and a free English dicco - I'm happy!

At least I still have the old version backup as well as the previous language-specific App

For a number of years I have used the Collins Pro Español–Inglés by Ultralingua as well as the Gran Diccionario Vox de la Lengua Español. Just recently I purchased the Ultralingua Collins Italian-English. The first two dictionaries are excellent and the latter is also good and has a surprisingly complete vocabulary. Naturally, as with all Ultralingua products the software is excellent. Perhaps most importantly, the Ultralingua customer support is unsurpassed. All three products are well worth the money.
