Ultimate Jack Tracker will allow the 'Jack the Ripper' player to easily record each players movements across all four nights, leading to the much anticipated post game replay.
It's a great idea and the replay feature is neat. Sadly however I've been unable to get through a single play through yet without it bugging out. In one case it acted as if 51 > 31 wasn't legal, just gave the red feedback. In a second it didn't even recognize spot 146. Aside from the bugs a few other suggestion. Give an icon to Jacks hideout, the zoomed out numbers are hard to see for new players. Don't ask regarding clue or arrest when clicking on a spot. Players who are observant will notice the double click on the app, I would just move this to a toggle in the corner.
Tried the app out tonight for the first time, it was a lot of fun tracking our game as we went. I really appreciate the time and effort that went into making this! I did happen to notice two bugs though: First, there was a point in the game where I tried to make a legal move from 105 to 104. The game wouldn’t let me move there, 130, or even 88. There was no policeman at the crossing preventing my movement either. I ended up backtracking because I wanted to have the app fully capture my game. The second bug came during the replay. The replay didn’t track all the movements very well and even stopped tracking at the third night so we didn’t get to see the whole game. Another suggestion would be to try and show the whole map for the replay, it will make seeing the movements easier and not jump you around so much. Not sure if that would make the pieces too small and hard to see though. You probably tested that out, but if not, it’s worth a try. Again, I really enjoyed trying this out, it was fun to use. Happy to provide any more feedback too.
