Category Price Seller Device
Utilities Free Paul Leischow iPhone, iPad, iPod

When flying RC/UAV's commercially, these areas are considered "No Fly Zones" based on your geographic location.
For example when flying UAV's in Canada, Transport Canada has set a 9km no fly zone around Airports without proper legal authorization.

By default this app sets a 9km radius around Airports and will display all airports within 30km of your marker.
These settings can be adjusted depending on geographic location and rules in your area.

WWII vintage

Apart from the fact that you cannot change the home point. This app still shows military airfields used in WWII that have been close for nearly 75 years. Great piece of history, but useless app

This app is trash.

I don’t live in hawaii and theres no way to manually change the Lat and Longitude.

Small airports?

Not sure if the area's around the smaller airports are really "no fly zones". Though it was only the larger airports according to FAA

no fly zones

the size and amount of the no fly zones are ridiculous. They need to change them

Noflyzones around airports that don't exist.

App makes dirt air strips in fields, and long closed tiny airports, as important as actual big city airports. No phone numbers for airports are included. The end result of putting no fly zones around heliports and closed air strips, will be that users won't be able to see real and important airports. This app makes half of the US a no fly zone, and doesn't tell you how to contact the real airports, the dirt airstrips or the closed airports.

Poor

Classifies helipads as airports (with no ability to disable them) and won't allow you to set sensible legal no fly distances (Australia has 3.5km but app only supports integers). Interface is clunky and dialogs unnavigable. Only redeeming feature is support for non-US countries.

Needs some work!!!
@LouisDeLaCosta

Every time you open and close the app loses its home setting, it send you back to Hawaii (not a bad place to be but...) there is no way to populate the latitude and longitude so you can set your home point. Is too busy around the Los Angeles area there should be a way to turning off all the heliports.

A great start, waiting for next version!

The base app is good, it loads fast and the maps are from Google, so super precise! But, it doesn't let you move the search location easily. It should search on the fly, as you scroll the map around. And just display the zones in the area currently shown on the map. Also the ability to adjust zones, and turn on/off would be great. :)
