Compatibility: the app supports all WebOS models of LG Smart TV as well as Netcast models of 2012 and later.
Some of the features that make this a better remote than your plastic remotes:
- CONTROL TVS from a single app

- JUMP TO ANY TV APP straight from the app
- CREATE CHANNEL SHORTCUTS on your homescreen. Do you want an ESPN shortcut on your phone's homescreen ? Now you can do that!

- MUTE ON CALL mute your TV when the phone rings

This might just be the worst app that I have ever seen. The tv is great, but this app is the worst.
The ads are relentless. To do anything you have to wait for long obnoxious ads to end. So I went ahead and bought the ads free version. Still sluggish and sucky
Before even trying the app it asks for a daily/weekly/monthly membership What a joke It didn’t even connect for me Just buy a universal remote at Walmart for $15
You can’t even test this one because there are so many ads. It’s absurd. What’s more absurd though is they want a monthly or yearly fee to use this and the official LG app (called Smartify in the app store) worked the absolute best. It’s a one off payment. I don’t remember what I paid now but I think it was 4 dollars maybe? I’ve been through so many of these apps but Smartify is the only one I keep returning to. It’s well worth the money. This one is a waste of time.
No instructions. Tries to get you to subscribe right out of the gate, and has a sneaky place to continue for free. After that it doesn’t help you connect to your TV, but forces another ad on you to purchase another app. Nothing ever loads to help connect to your TV?
LG TV application is not self intuitive. It says to sign onto a TV, or to select the TV, and I don’t know how to get to it. Keeps on sending me the Facebook which I have signed it and I’ve got an account, but that doesn’t work either.
