It just broadcasts audio of certain channels to your phone. Very limited. For example you can’t hear your tv while on Xbox or PS4

I have enjoyed the app so far. I am able to sit in a sports bar where they may have other game sound on or music and point my phone at a TV using this app and listen to the game on that TV. I have also used it at the gym and it syncs pretty close enough to watch a news broadcast.

Works most of the time. However, the app disconnects frequently (at least 3 times in an hour.) It will be out of sync when it reconnects and is a pain to resync. It will also frequently go out of sync during commercials.

Really liked the app when I used it on a trial basis. However, when I prepared to sign up, the developer wanted too much personal information. I read thru the fine print of the user agreement (something only lawyers do), and it seemed to me that I would be open to Tunity giving my personal contact information to third parties so that I could be solicited, or that Tunity might do something like that in the future. The portion of the agreement giving Tunity 30 days to “dismember” me left ample opportunity for this to happen, since by the time the 30 days would have lapsed, the information could already been sold or provided. I got an email from Grant Mombach at Tunity in August asking me to rate the app, and I wrote back asking about my concerns. I specifically stated that if I didn’t hear back from Tunity, I would take it to mean that my personal information could/would be shared with a third party, and that I would review the app accordingly.

The trial version worked fine while in California, but when we went to Europe, it did not work. The ad says it works ‘Anywhere’, but apparently the developer is wearing blinders.

Just downloaded this to use at the gym, as I don’t use corded headphones and the sound on all the TVs are connected to FM transmitters, which iPhone doesn’t have (Looking at you, Apple...?) Anywho, App was able to scan the tv and pick up the channel quickly, but it was hit and miss from there. The sound would cut out and there isn’t really anything to help you reconnect, except to rescan the tv. It’s really impractical to expect users to rescan the tv every time it cuts out. Once it cut out, I said forget it and just started listening to the music app, well about 5 mins later, the sound cut back in from the app and was playing along with the music. No warning, no Input from me ??♀️. Also the aesthetics of the app are really pretty terrible. The login page, ad placement and forced twitter feed.....they could do so much better. It feels very iPhone 4/pre-iOS 7ish. That ain’t a complement. I’ll be keeping the app for now, as I haven’t found a viable alternative to use for “wireless gym tv watching”, but I will definitely be on the lookout. If I find one, I’m out ??♀️
