I was tuning my violin and I started playing my D. It said that my D was a Bb. When I tried it again, it says it was a D. Not sure if it’s me or if it defective, but though this might help.

As beginner, even with a reasonably good ear for pitch I’ve found this app very useful. Despite the grumbles from some it matters not a bit to me that the tuning fork is on the left. Thanks to the developer for the free app. It’s easy to use.
Very useful for tuning harps
