Best Tumblr Pic View app, But....

Everytime I save a pic it the screen freezes and I have to close the app and then open it again everytime, it's pretty annoying so please fix this and please optimize, and I'll rate 5 stars.

TumbleOn was THE iOS app for Tumblr photo blogs. It had a series of upgrades and enhancements in the first couple of years, and a responsive dev. Now...? iOS bugs and changes to Tumblr's APIs leave it j...u...s...t... operable. Emails to dev go unacknowledged, and the promised ability to save last read, group contents, and bookmarks across devices via iCloud has never been delivered. Apple needs to do a better job of pulling these for pay "abandonware" apps from the App Store. Users who paid a long time ago got their money's worth, but new users shouldn't be charged for an app that just barely works...
Great for following image-based tumblr feeds!

This is perfect if you primarily follow/reblog tumblrs that only post images, since it gives you a nice layout of thumbnails to browse through the posts on your dashboard and whoever you're following. Note that you shouldn't depend on this if you follow blogs that include a few text or video entries every so often that you'd be interested in reading. Since it's designed for image browsing, it omits any entries that don't at least have a picture. Another downside: while it is a universal app (yay!), it doesn't currently support syncing (so read entries on one device is still unread on another). The developers have said that this feature is coming soon though. Also: no portrait mode on iPad and no landscape mode on iPhone. I don't see these as deal breakers though, but you might.

I've been using this app for a long time and I've always loved it. But now I can no longer reblog or like anything and my email pleas for help have gone unanswered. With the app not working and no response from tech support, what else can I do but write this review? Looking at other reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one. There are other problems too, you can bookmark other blogs, but there is no way to delete bookmarks you no longer want. Even blogs that no longer exist have to stay in your bookmarks. With so many issues, I'd have to recommend looking elsewhere for a good Tumblr app. ***UPDATE*** More features have quit working and now I notice the last time this app was updated was June 2015, so the developer has obviously abandoned the app. It's too bad, it used to be a great app.

I browse/post really quickly and this app accommodates that. There are a few QOL I would like, but it looks like the dev has dropped this project. Nonetheless, I would recommend. The price is worth it.

The TumbleOn app lets me check my fav. blogs all at once and is often the way I check my account first. Definitely recommend the app!

Buttons and popups always in the way of browsing. No update in two years. Tumblr isn’t perfect but it’s better than this.
