Updates now include Ads !

sajdive

Typical greed and non-transparency (dishonesty) by not being clear that new updates put unremovable ads that take up screen space (unless money is paid of course). Not sure which update version number started having ads. Turn something great into just like others. Have added too many unnecessary features. Requires you create an account with personal information to use many features.

useless

Vlad unhappy customer

all bugs mentioned since 2014 still not fixed. Added tons of adv. Interface overloaded and not usable.

Do not update

Bacu Cristian

With every update this app becomes worse and worse and user non-friendly! Now the screen is full of ads, address tap doesn’t open the google maps anymore, in one word it’s a mess after each update. Free version of the app is basically unusable because of the dev greed to force you for the paid version! Shame

Do NOT pay to use, inaccurate, waste of money

Harleychikka

Don’t waste your money on the paid version. The fuel prices are still almost never correct. The parking info is screwy as hell, jerks press whatever they feel like instead of what’s accurate. You still have ads if you pay. The ads should be all about making it free for truckers to use. And worst of all, DOT cops use Trucker Path also and sit in the open scales and press that it’s closed. If they can’t be accurate 99.9% of the time they shouldn’t be charging. Get rid of all advertisers, or make the whole thing free again for everyone. Go ahead and pay for wrong info and support the Chinese if you want.. this app may have begun as American, but it was sold out to the Chinese who just want your money. I repeat, don’t waste your money. Truck stops are inaccurate and incomplete. It used to be a great app. Deleting it now

It’s okay, freezes up a lot

asdcxfgt

It freezes up a ton and you have to exit out of the navigation and start the navigation again otherwise you don’t know how many miles until your next turn or exit. Also it will send you outrageous “long way around” after you’ve already chosen the route and now you’re going 10 miles out of your way when your destination was around the corner. Then the update tells me after I choose my route that this new version is a beta version so it may not utilize truck routes and to use at my own risk. It’s “trucker path” not traveler path. Not sure it’s worth $10.99 a month.

This navigation nearly cost me my job and cdl

DO NOT USE Trucker Path Navigation!! I purchased navigation when my Rand McNally died. I was on the road and needed a fast solution until i decided which overpriced stand alone GPS to purchase. I really wish I could post photos here of the turns it asked me to make over Hinkle Mountain in West Virginia. They looked like an on ramp for a bicycle going up into woods at about a 10% grade. Not even a full lane wide. Another was a red clay road into woods. I was on 76 E and it said exit. I get up the road i exited it said uturn back to 76 E. I get on and it takes me 30 miles or further. Exit again. Right on Claypike Rd. About 3/4 of a mile on narrow two lane with no shoulder it says uturn. What! I couldnt. Short story is I come upon a 10 ton weight limit ahead sign. Local guy comes and helps says thats a new bridge and if i follow its next turn (ankley hill rd) i wont have to cross it. So i keep following Trucker Path to Ankley hill rd. Another 10 ton weight limit! Small bridge ahead. Narrow turn and weight limit to right. Mud pit to left. Here I go trying to alley dock into a driveway to turn around. Phone pole made it impossible without sinking in mud pit. Soon police come out. Nightmare!! Ive used it for three days and every time i think it was just a fluke that it screwed me over, it screws me over again. Its interesting that it nearly mirrors apple maps routes. If you value your cdl and do t want your boss thinking your an idiot with random exits and returns to highway dont use this navigation! I love Trucker Path and have used it for years to locate points of interest especially walmarts that allow overnight parking. But they really should not be marketing this GPS. It is not safe. After it not knowing about the 10 ton weight limits im terrified it will lead me under a low bridge. It seems like it plans one turn at atime. Then it realizes there is no good move to make next and it tells you to turn around like you screwed up. I just started a new job and im leaving bc I am not getting the raise i was promised after my “trial run” because I trusted this app. Good thing I dont just blindly follow where it says to go or i would have several wrecker bills.

Problems with third party directions.

CasualConsumer

Third party map directions no longer track. I get why they would add a paywall to finance the truck routing addition to this app, but the other routing options are now stifled by a coordinate to coordinate input when transferring to apple or google maps. This means that they use the static gps coordinates of your location when you switch over, instead of your actively tracking location. I don’t know why this is, but I no longer input location status feedback, because this app is no longer useful to me because I don’t need parking or weight station statuses, only conveniently accessible directions.

Greedy

clelsiiii

This app gets more greedy every week. Used to be totally free. Can’t even navigate anymore?

Way to many ads

sassy_90

Really used to love this app and until recently it was great but now when u open the app u get slammed with ads most of which are full screen and the x to close the ad is god only knows where and it’s extremely inconvenient when u need to find a place immediately and u don’t have the time to play a game of I spy to find the x in at least 3 to 5 full page ads not including the banner ads
