Expense Tracking:
Your vehicle is your small business. TripCam makes it easy to truly understand the cost of being a rideshare driver. Track everything from car washes, to gas, maintenance, and more. You can even include a picture of your receipt for proof down the road.
Shift Tracking:
When you get in your car, to start ridesharing, just drag the slider to activate a shift. When you are finished, drag the slider to end the shift. Afterwards, we will show you the length of your shift, average speed, distance traveled, and a breakdown of highway vs city miles. Shift tracking also automatically activates the shift recording feature (exclusively available on tablets sold by TripCam).
Tip History:
If you have the TripCam tablet app installed (currently only for Android tablets) then passengers can easily tip you at any point during the ride. With the tip history you can see a breakdown of each tip that you received. The total earned from the past week and overall are also available at a glance.
Refer an Advertiser:
Want to refer a business owner or manager to advertise on your tablet? If you have the TripCam tablet app installed (currently only for Android tablets), just enter their contact information and hit submit. We will automatically send them an email with a link to create their first ad. After they complete their purchase, the ad will automatically show up on your tablet.
Payment Request:
Here's a quick way to get paid for special requests from passengers. Just enter their name, number, and a short description and hit submit. The passenger will then get a text message with a link to pay for their request. You can easily confirm that the payment went through before going out of your way.

I concur with the other review. This app really does nothing. Nothing is tracked unless I enter it. I signed up a few contacts to be advertisers and they have received nothing. The app on the tablet is nice that you can earn tips and see the map but the news and local happenings aspects are non functioning. This app could be absolutely fabulous. It just needs that last push to be great! Please fix these glaring issues!

Both the iPhone expense tracker and the iPad adverting app don’t work. There is no connectivity, no customer support(I have emailed multiple times) not worth the effort. It has potential to be a great asset to the rural rideshare driver but looks like the developers have dropped it like a bad habit.
Must-have for TripCam drivers

It's simple but works flawlessly. If you're using TripCam (trust me, you want to use TripCam), this is a must-have, especially as the system is updated and improved.
still has bugs

Good concept for app but it has a lot of bugs. 1 you need a help or support button. 2 you need an edit button to make changes to logs in case we make errors. 3 i tried out a shift and no data was captured. I tried it again the next day and still did not capture any data for a shift. if i can't get a warm and fuzzy about the app I can't plunge in and get the tablet.

I am using TripCam on my iPhone 5 and it has awesome qualities that I love. However, when I slide the bar over to start the timer for work, it never registers any of my drives. Please, oh please, help me fix this problem because I would love to advertise for you guys!

The company has responded to me and Dave said that they are working on improving the shifts feature. So in future updates, this looks like it's going to be improved. The company is very responsive to emails about improvements or suggestions.
